A: Sometimes, although it is typically not an issue, different manufacturers make d tap connectors to slightly different variants, that are unfortunately not measured. Whenever possible, it is best to use the same manufacturer for power cables, batteries and connectors.

Q: 6. If you already have the Canon brand DR-E6 dummy battery, would you be able to plug that into this, or must you use the Tilta supplied dummy battery?

A: If you have a Dummy Battery with a D-Tap connection you will be able to use it with this system. It does not need to be a Tilta product.

[1" / 25.4 mm] Setting up an Eye Direct can be a bit of a pain. I've done some shoots with them where I rent a separate A camera for the interview so I can leave it rigged on the EyeDirect. This tiny little gadget makes it ALOT faster. Without I would say getting a camera on or off (without a plate system setup) might take anything from 2-10mins. This - seconds. I'm using with the Folding E version - I suspect the sull version might be too heavy for this? But can't confirm. Huge fan, highly recommend. 5

[0.59" / 15 mm] Great little product. It's about the least expensive way to get rods onto a tripod head (or under a DSLR) with any real pro-level strength and stability. I wouldn't use it for a larger video rig, as it's a little light for that, but for a simple DSLR rig, it worked perfectly. We used it with rods, a Canon 5D Mk111, and an Atomos Ninja recorder attached, and it was solid as a rock. Not as solid as a Redrock... but solid, and much lower cost. 5

[0.59" / 15 mm] Purchased this to replace the stock mounting hardware for the viewfinder on the Sony FS7. This is WAY better and allow you to loosen one axis of the viewfinder while leaving the other as is. Great price and perfect function. 5
