Q: 1. Is this unit for speaker level adjustment or just line level?

A: I bought this unit for line level control and it works great

Q: 2. Between this 8010 and 8010A white version bh have. what is Difference ? Just color? Or ia there any difference more than that?

Q: 3. $2250.00, is that the price of the pair or a single?

A: That is the price of one single 8331 SAM studio monitor. Please discuss pricing with your B&H sales person. Thank you.

Q: 4. What is the GLM Network Adapter? Is it required to use the remote? Is it built into the speaker? A search didn't pull up anything. Thank you!

A: The GLM network adapter would be used for Genelec speakers without built-in networking. It is BH #GE8300601.

Q: 5. Current model on Genelec site is 8010A - what is the difference between this 8010 and 8010A?

[0.135 lb] Genelec room correction technology is very effective in optimizing my monitors to better sonically fit my home untreated and unoptimized rooms. Outside of the interface with my Genelec speakers (8330A and 8351B) while running the calibration, I have my two GLM kits permanently connected to my monitors and use the matching wireless remote to control the volume at the speakers (Genelec tells me it is the optimal set up for their SAM speakers - attenuation happens right before amplification). When feeding the speakers with a digital signal I get the most transparent and detailed presentation I was ever able to achieve in my home after 20+ years of equipment swapping, tweaking, modding and building... I use Roon to play muisic from my ripped CDs and Qobuz in my 2 home stereo systems. It makes for very minimal hi end systems. You could hide everything but the speakers if you desire...

[0.135 lb] Genelec 8010s has the best sound in such a compact package. I find the Senal PMC-II controller to be very useful to be an intermediary connection between my Rodecaster Pro and my pair of Genelec 8010s. The mute button and the attenuation know are very useful. Regarding the speaker stands, they are much too large for the Genelec 8010 but I consider this a give away being thrown in the package that I can use in the future.

[0.135 lb] The Genelec 8010 pair of studio monitors fits perfectly on my desk. The Senal attenuator alone cost $100 and it is worthwhile addition. It has a useful mute button that I use all the time. The speaker stands are way oversized but I view it as a throw in for future use since the pair of Genelec 8010 studio monitors and the Senal attenuator alone exceeds the cost of the bundle.

[0.135 lb] I've been stuck in the KRK loop for about a decade now. This is my first pair of Genelecs and I am blown away! Sure, they don't have the low-end presence of larger speakers, but the clarity and separation is on a whole other level! I am hearing my favorite music in a new way through these monitors and I cannot wait to use them for critical listening in my own work as well. Every instrument feels like it has it's own space and I am noticing little delights that I have never noticed in my favorite music. What a dream!

[0.135 lb] I'm running GLM 3.1 on a 15" 2017 MacBook Pro. Audio Interface is a MOTU 8D driving the Genelecs via AES3. Stereo configuration w/ SAM8331A. The 7530A sub arrived last night. First pass at integrating it into the system took a bit of work, and I needed to reinstall GLM before the sub was recognized by the system.
My rig is currently set up on a small desk in the corner of an untreated bedroom- nowhere near ideal acoustically, but the GLM calibration combined with Sonarworks REF 4 software produces a ruler flat response down to 70hz, below which we start to see some fluctuations.

The full range FR graph is the SW correction ( after GLM filtration ) for the 8331As only. Measured before the 7530 arrived.

the Second graph is GLM's base management with the 7530 included. ( crossover @ 85hz ) Green is GLM correction applied.

After work tonight, I'll have time to rerun the SonarWorks calibration with the complete 2.1 system- I expect to see much better response below the crossover pt.

In a treated room, the results would only improve.
