[4800 x 2400 dpi] I had a Canon Pro 9000 for years til the print head went bad. The cost of a new print head is about the same as a printer, so I thought I would give this Pro 200 a try. I was super impressed with the colors right off the bat. I use this more for my art work rather than photos, but the photos look great too. So far. I love it.

[Dye-Based] This is the second pro-200 I've purchased because it is an excellent printer that is well priced. Use it for professional printing applications because the quality is excellent. I find print times to be slightly higher than estimated but is still quite quick for the borderless printing quality - approximately 2 min (+-10 sec) for 8.5 x 11 borderless. Haven't had any issues with it. The Canon software for it is pretty good. Could be better, but great as a free addition. Ink lasts a while. The cartridges will last between 80-100 pages (8.5 x 11 borderless). Great choice.

[Color] I didn't download printer drivers or paper profiles, just hoped that it would look great with basic plug and play and I was thrilled to find it did!

[SG Raster] I really liked my Canon Pixma Pro 100. Unfortunately it broke from over use. I had it for years.
Went to order a new one from B & H finding out it is no longer being made. So I ordered the 200. It is the same or better.

[Dye-Based] So far the printer has done an excellent job for printing photos and making nice impressive flyers. I’m not sure how the ink will hold out and I don’t understand about the papers yet. The last photo printing I did was on a dye sub printer but other than the risk of scratching a photo this is a wonderful ink jet. Very happy. Hopefully it lasts..

[Dye-Based] I've had this printer now for......over 2 years. Basically got it when it first came out! I love it, once you make the settings the way they should (Let the ink dry after each print if you are printing art prints or photos etc) it works like a charm. I love this printer so much, I am not sure why others are having issues. The quality is phenomenal and it's been a life saver 3

[40 lb] I needed a photo printer to replace my older Canon Pixma Pro 9500. I did a lot of initial research on the Internet to see which printer would be best and which might fall within my limited budget. I found that reviews on the Canon Pro-200 were universally good. When a Black Friday deal came up on B&H to purchase this printer for $399 including shipping I could not resist the opportunity. B&H has always been a reliable source for top notch photographic equipment. Setup was easy based on the printed instructions provided along with some very informative setup videos available on YouTube. I especially like the Canon Professional Print & Layout Software that allows you to carefully set up each print job to give outstanding results without the need for trial and error. Overall, I highly recommend this printer for every photographer who would like to publish his best work for display.

[Color] I'm a graphic artist who sells a lot of prints and greeting cards. I purchased my first Pixma PRO-200 a year ago, and it's been a total workhorse for me. Prints are gorgeous, quality is reliable, it's everything I need it to be (except fast). My volume has picked up, so I grabbed a second Pixma Pro-200 to double my printing capacity at any given time. After deciding on the Pro-200 (thanks, Keith Cooper), B&H, of course, had it in stock and it seemed to arrive overnight! Great service as always to me out here in the middle of Kansas. Lovely printer, fine company. Very grateful.
