A: Yes. When you loosen the knob, everything loosens up, including the screws. It is quite flexible. FYI - we also own the Ikan version of this unit, and for a few more $ it is better built, I think. One of our Delvs broke; our Ikans seem to be holding up better.

A: Yes, the shoe mount can be removed leaving a female 1/4 -20 thread. The female 1/4 -20 coupler can then be removed ultimately leaving a male 1/4 -20 on both ends.

I don't see a way to mount the Tascam into one of the holes in the cage without having to turn the whole arm (rather than being able to tighten the knob to secure the male end of the screw into the hole).
