A: The base of the Pentax DSLR Leather Hand Strap screws into the female 1/4"-20 tripod socket on the base of your camera. The top of the strap would connect to the camera strap lug or strap D-ring via the strap portion of the hand strap. You can unfasten the button on the Pentax DSLR Leather hand strap and unthread the strap from the plastic strap holder, then thread it through your camera's strap lug, and re-connect the strap depending on how loose/tight you want the strap against your hand.
