It’s extremely difficult finding a tandem leg tripod that is lightweight and folds up to fit in my pelican case for travel. With this Leofoto tripod I can travel with 3 tripods and tripod heads in one case without being close to going overweight. I bought one to check it out and will be buying more for my multi camera set up. 10/10 would recommend

[0.97 lb] Half the price of the famous US brand, but certainly not half the quality. I have been using one for some years with satisfaction. The build quality is good and it has proved reliable. Hence the second one. I have a couple from the fabulous brand and find it compares well with them.

[0.97 lb] As I now permanently use Acratech plates on my Leica M and Fuji cameras, I have attached this clamp to my Leica table tripod after having removed the round knob that otherwise would attach the 1/4 tripod screw into a camera's tripod socket. The clamp included the adapter to enable its attachment to the table tripod's 1/4 screw. As the tripod's screw became too long after removing the tripod's tightening knob, an Acratech service tech directed me to a business where I acquired a brass spacer that effectively shortened the tripod's screw so as to not stick out above the clamp. While I have my preferred quick-release option on my Acratech GXP ball-head, I very much prefer the knob option on this clamp as used on the table tripod. Very high quality, easy to use, robust, also quick in establishing a very secure connection to the plates.

[0.97 lb] This leveling base showed operates smoothly and like adjustments are quick and easy. With the handle and hook it is very functional and easy to operate.

[11.9 oz / 338 g] I secured this to compare it to the RRS Model TA-40-LB-LP for use on my Gitzo Systematic 5. However, the current version of the RRS Model TA-40-LB-LP sold by B+H will not work with the Gitzo 100mm bowl adapter. It requires swapping out the locking nut for one from an RRS Series 3 leveling head (and it works just fine that way). I found this leveling head by Leofoto even more functional, and better looking. No flip-lock clamp, but the quick release built in is easy to use and secures my Chamonix 45F-2 just fine.
