Q: 1. Can these speaker cables be used in the wall?

A: That is not their intended use. They are not made for installation work. They are made to use outside the wall in your home. Canare makes an excellent product and I think part of the design is made to be seen. How you use them is up to you.

Q: 2. What can I use to split the connection for two speakers into one output? One output from the preamp going to two speakers.

A: Generally, an output may be split to two speakers with a simple "Y" type cable. Isuues arise when the impedance is too low; for instance, id the two speakers are 4 ohm and split from one output, the impedance then becomes 2 ohms; an impedance this low is almost always an issue for an amplifier. Also by changing the impedance which an amplifer is "seeing" will affect the loudness, so be aware and proceed with caution. Two 8 ohm speakers connected to one output of an amp is almost always ok, using a quality Y splitter and quality cables. Again, it WILL get louder!!

Q: 3. is it one cable, or a pair(one for each speaker)?

A: It is a single ( 2-conductor) cable designed to connect a single speaker.

Q: 4. is it 1 pair?

A: One Wire. Two plugs on one end and 4 on the other end. Not a pair of wires. You will have to buy two of these for a pair.

Q: 5. Are these locking bans plugs on the canare brand?

A: Yes, the Canare 4S11 Star Quad Speaker Cable Dual Banana to Dual Banana (6') BH #CA4S112B2B6 has locking connectors.

Q: 6. For the 4 wire portion of the cable. Which two are for high frequency and which are for low? No designation.

A: The Canare 4S11 Bi-Wire Speaker Cable - 2-Banana to 4-Banana (Black, 20') BH #CA4S112B4B20 is made for Bi-Wiring and end with 4 plugs would just be 2 negative and 2 positive.

Q: 7. The banana plugs they bring are those shown in the photo? Are they from the River Cable brand?

A: These cable are manufactured by Canare.

Q: 8. Is the copper made of solid oxygen-free copper as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) or copper clad steel (CCS)? And are the banana plugs locking?

A: It is Oxygen Free Copper, not clad, and they do have locking plugs.

Q: 9. What is the exact model of this 4S11 or 4S11G cable? because one is OFC and the other is not!

A: I bought 4S11 (MFR # CA4S112B2B6). They are not fiber optic. You should call B&H if you're not sure. Customer service is very good.

Q: 10. what size spade connector?

A: It is 4mm.

[1.1 lb] I have a professional background in cable manufacturing, and must say... these are VERY nicely crafted cables. Canare wire is of good quality. I have always found it to be limber, lays flat, and the copper is pure which takes solder very well. I really like the "locking" banana connectors that are used on these cables. For those that aren't familiar with the concept... the banana conductor will expand when the ring of the connector is turned. Plug it in, give the ring a clockwise twist, and the pin of the connector will expand within the binding post ensuring a solid connection and keeping the connector inserted snugly. Rotating the ring counter clockwise retracts the pin allowing the connector be removed freely. These cables are dressed nicely and look great. I'm not a cable snob and not into the high end stuff, but when it comes to "value" these cables are it! For the money, you can't go wrong. 5
