The Freewell ND8/PL Hybrid Lens Filter for HERO9/10/11/12 Blackfeatures handcrafted optics designed specifically for use with your HERO9/10/11/12 Black cameras. This combination of ND and polarizer filter performs the functions of a polarizer, including glare reduction and darkening of blue skies to help your camera capture accurate colors. The filter also adds neutral density to the polarizer to help control the camera's exposure settings. The filter absorbs a total of 3 stops of light.

The filter maintains the high quality of your camera's optics, and its lightweight nature and robust construction make it suitable for use doing drone and gimbal work. To protect the filter from the rigors of production, the optical glass features a color-neutral coating that protects it from water, dust, scratches, and oil.

[3.1 x 3 x 0.9"] I found a go pro at the beach. Seriously, it was in between some rocks, it was at night and had it not been for the orange floaty I would not have spotted it. It was still on so I watched the last video (hoping I'd find the owner) I see the person surfing and crash, tumbling in the waves, I see a big shark! Ok a rock that maybe looked like a shark. Actually, I watch the go pro with the floaty plop up to the surface. Catch a few waves by itself and get tossed into the rocks alot and then get tossed in the air and land between rocks where I found it. Perfect items to have if you own a go pro, or find one. 5

[0.22 oz / 6.2 g] Since this is a variable Polarizer, I also use it like a ND filter to cut down the light. Most of the time I keep it at the maximum 5 setting. But if it is cloudy I can reduce the polarizer effect and let in more light. For me, it is like have several ND filters with the advantage of great color in sunlight. 5
