This versatile Watson NP-FW50 Compact AC/DC Chargerfrom Watson NP-FW50 Compact AC/DC Chargercharges NP-FW50-type lithium-ion batteries via the included, dedicated battery plate. The charger runs on 100-240 VAC power, allowing for worldwide use. It features a foldout, two-prong US plug and is supplied with a European plug adapter and a 12 VDC car charger that plugs into the auxiliary power outlet. This makes it ideal for use both at home and on the road.

The Compact AC/DC Charger features a USB-A output for charging MP3 players, phones, digital cameras, and other devices with a USB power input - even while charging the camera or camcorder batteries. The battery adapter plates are easily interchangeable, so the charger can also be used with other batteries when paired with a dedicated battery plate, available separately.

I put my 126S in for a charge after using one bar to make sure that I would have enough power for the next day, but the battery was in the charger for over an hour and the green light remained on. Will it turn off once charging is done or do you have to put it into the camera to find out?

A: It's red when it's a low battery and turns green when it's charged. You got that backwards. It does take some time to charge.

[LED] After I misplaced my original Sony Nex charger, I worried about replacing it with a non-Sony charger, but this one works perfectly with my Sony battery. I would recommend this charger over the original any day; it performs just as well and is far less expensive. 5

[1] It is what it is, a charger. Nice that it comes with 12vdc car adapter also. Battery fits well, just pay attention the first few times you use it. It's not the greatest battery alignment system but it works well once you charged a couple batteries and get the feel for it. The adapter plate is removable from the charger base. Maybe you can find other plates to fit different batteries types (mixed camera users) and not need to pack/manage two charging systems. Over-all it's a no brainer for NEX users that have the models with built-in chargers. Can even use it to charge you usb type phone while in the car. 5

[1] Nice that it is convertable to wall socket and car charger. Has flip out plug which helps keep it compact. Not too big--so it fits well in a small camera bag and lightweight. 5

[6.4 x 4.6 x 2"] I like to travel with a minimum of bulk and weight, and every extra bit adds up. This compact charger plugs directly into the mains without having to carry (or lose!) a separate power cord, making it perfect. Has the expected other features of a relatively fast charge rate and over-charge protection. This, and a spare battery or two, are highly recommended for your Sony Alpha 7II. 5

[0.4 lb] You can charge your NEX6 battery via USB on your camera, but it's way slow and puts the camera at risk if you had a faulty USB port. This Watson charges quickly, and is universal by wall or car adapters. Great design for real cheap. I was worried the price reflected the quality of use, but I was proven wrong. No need for $$$$ Sony chargers for a simple battery recharge! 5
