[Micro-USB Male] I had to replace the shoddy charging cable that came with my Pedaltrain Volto 3 (a great lithium battery that powers my pedalboard) since the connection inserts were loose, and one was about to fall out--which meant the Volto 3 wasn't charging. Before replacing everything, I thought I should try replacing the weakest link. YES! The Kramer cable is far superior to the original. It's well-made, durable, and simply excellent. The Volto 3 charges now, and charges completely. If I had a reason to use the Kramer for data transfer, I wouldn't hesitate. The lesson here is to replace the weakest link before spending money to buy a replacement for the whole bit of kit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. 5

[USB-A Male] Use this cable to many smaller devices (such as bluetooth earphones, etc.) and older power banks (Ankers, etc) that still use the older micro connections. These cables wear out easily, so I've bought a batch of them from B&H and they work fantastic! Until everything goes USB-C, I will continue to buy these. 5
