This versatile Watson Compact AC/DC Charger for NP-W126from Watson Compact AC/DC Charger for NP-W126charges NP-W126-type lithium-ion batteries via the included, dedicated battery plate. The charger runs on 100-240 VAC power, allowing for worldwide use. It features a foldout, two-prong US plug and is supplied with a European plug adapter and a 12 VDC car charger that plugs into the auxiliary power outlet. This makes it ideal for use both at home and on the road.

The Compact AC/DC Charger features a USB-A output for charging MP3 players, phones, digital cameras, and other devices with a USB power input - even while charging the camera or camcorder batteries. When I received the charger, it didn't seem to accept the battery; it seemed it needed a special plate. I called B&H and spoke with a person who told me to return it or buy a special plate. Would this charger have worked with the Sony battery for the a6000--without needing to buy a special plate?

A: This charger already comes with the plate for your a6000. The charger is for the NP-FW50 that is the battery that your camera takes. The battery should have just slid into the plate. You align the connections up with the plate. My apologies you were misinformed.
