The control unit allows you to use your original Sony PXW-FS5, PXW-FS7, or PXW-FX9 handgrip or a LANC zoom controller to control the EZ-1 or EZ-2 lens zoom, and it includes the cables required.

The unit is powered using a separately available power source using its 10 to 30 VDC 5-pin LEMO-type power input, and a D-Tap to 5-pin power cable is included. A LANC cable and a LANC extension cable are both included to plug into the LANC input and output ports, and a Sony Multiport-to-LANC Y-cable is also included for the PXW-FX9. A mini-USB adapter is included for additional compatibility, and an Allen wrench is included to mount the unit onto your rig.

A: The Angenieux EF-Mount for EZ-1/-2/-3 Zooms is only designed to be used with the Angenieux EZ series of lenses and would not be compatible with Optimo lenses. A: On the bottom of the unit there are two switches to enable manual or servo control for both the focus and zoom. Change the focus switch to "S" for servo and change the zoom switch to "M" for manual. Use the rocker on the top of the unit to control focus.

Q: 10. Can I connect this via LBUS to Arri cameras/RIA-1 to make use of the run/stop feature?

A: The Angenieux MSU-1 Universal Cine Servo with 3 Motors & Wireless Module for EZ-1/EZ-2 Lenses (B&H# ANMSU1) does allow for start/stop, and the ARRI Radio Interface Adapter RIA-1 Set (B&H# ARRIA1S) does offer start/stop control. However, no cable is included for making a connection to the 4-pin LBUS port on the RIA-1.
