[Arca-Type Plate] Within a minute the c70 is ready for work

[1.46 lb] I will need to attach the XLR-K3M audio module, and 1-2 wireless receivers to my Sony A7S iii. With the Kondor Blue handle attached, I don't see the clearance to attach the XLR-K3M directly to the hot shoe, but I plan (do not have the module yet) to use an extender cable, and fit the XLR-K3M on a cold shoe, and there seems clearance for that.

The red button on the handle will start/stop video on the camera. With the cable plugged in, the flippy screen will not rotate completely, however there seems to be enough rotation to look down on the screen when the camera is held at waist level. BTW even with a HDMI cable plugged in, I believe the screen can still be tilted some.

Battery, plug, and media doors open fine.

This cage is held in place through the camera's tripod mount. The cage can be slipped on and off quickly, but you will need to remove the lens first.


There is no ready-made way to use the handle at 90 deg to the camera, however I suppose it could be done with the addition of a cold shoe, as that is what the handle fits.


Kondor Blue includes two hex keys and a screwdriver/bottle opener tool.

[1x Cold Shoe] Look no further, this is the perfect cage for the R5C.

It's also the only one that give doesn't block the left side of the body, so you can use any VND adapter like the Meike, KipperTie Revolva or Breakthrough.

Super easy to assemble and the top handle with the record/stop button is a must for any serious video shooter.

Worth every penny.

[1x Cold Shoe] nice cage. I did long research and choose Kondor, because it's easy to load and unload.

[Arca-Type Plate] Not sure why the other buyer had the issue. Mine fit perfectly with the S1H. There are two screws at each side to adjust how much you want the camera to sit in. For the S1H, I removed those two screws and the camera fits very well to the cage, but still maintain tiny air gaps.

As for the functions and value, it is really hard to beat. We can slide the camera into the cage and then slide it out for mounting to the gimbal without any tool. Functionally very similar to how Bright Tangerine thinks about designs but the price from Kondor Blue is in the affordable side.

the 2nd locking screw is simply so smart
(ok personally I had a few issues with one screw being a bit tight, but that's a detail)


and love also the arca swiss plate system at the bottom that just works perfectly with the dji rs3


finally having a magnetic screwdriver at the bottom is perfect


I wonder how I could get excited that much by a cage ;), but it is work well done! Wish all accessories had a designer that dedicated.

[1x Cold Shoe] The other 1/2 cage they sell is great... however, one big problem - it gets lose on almost every shoot. They solved that problem with this one. there is a second securing point that goes through the strap holder eylet. it's amaing. no more worying about it coming lose.

[Cage] for wildlife or night photography where you like to have the camera vertical I have added a plate on side to do that. As tilting a ball head or mounting to a Gimbal head mount may not work. Also solid mount for a small screen if doing video work.

[1x Cold Shoe] Nice durable cage, quick and easy to install/uninstall on A7SIII. I bought it mainly to shoot vertical on a tripod and gimbal. It's nice to have other attachment points available in the future if needed though.
