I see somewhere that the part is not cancellable and nonrefundable so I want to be certain.Basically, I guess a tech or someone would need to measure it or have had experience with this.

A: That depends on the size of your Ipad. Larger Ipads (like the Ipad Pros) need a longer cable whereas the Ipad Mini should work just fine with the standard cable.
