Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work with the Sennheiser EW 100 g3?

A: This transmitter is not compatible with an ew100g3 system. For a compatible transmitter, you'd want a B&H # SESK100G4A. Please note, you would need to select the SK100 transmitter that's in the same frequency range as your receiver.

Q: 2. Is there a separate XLR out for each channel?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EM-XSW 1 Dual-Channel Stationary Receiver has separate XLR and 1/4" outputs for each channel.

Q: 3. Does this output stereo or mono?

A: Hi Joselito - the output for this (and most rackmount wireless systems) is mono; if you have a special application where you'd like to transmit a stereo signal, you would need to have independent transmitters and receivers for your Left and Right Channels, or consider using an IEM System if a bodypack receiver could be used.

Q: 4. Can i use the Sennheiser EK 300 IEM G3 Wireless Bodypack Receiver (A: 516 to 558 MHz) if I tune to identical channels i.e. 548-558mhz I want to use the wireless receiver instead of the included wired one for certain location sound applications.

A: The Sennheiser EK300 G3 is not compatible with the XSW system components.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with the 100 g3 if not is there a dual Sennheiser receiver that is?

A: No, the Sennheiser EM-XSW 1 Dual-Channel Stationary Receiver is not compatible for use with Sennheiser EW 100 G3 Series Transmitters. Sennheiser does not offer a dual-channel 100 Series Receiver but two of the single-channel Sennheiser EM 100 G4 Wireless Receivers can be used at the same time and can be mounted side-by side in a single rack space. The EM-XSW 1 Receiver can be used with XS Series transmitters like the Sennheiser SK-XSW-A Bodypack Transmitter - A: 548 to 572 MHz (B&H # SESKXSWA) or handheld transmitters like the Sennheiser SKM 825-XSW-A Handheld Transmitter with e825 Capsule - A: 548 to 572 MHz B&H # SESKM825XSWA), SKM 835-XSW-A Handheld Transmitter with e835 Capsule - A: 548 to 572 MHz( B&H # SESKM835XSWA, or SKM 865-XSW-A Handheld Transmitter with e865 Capsule - A: 548 to 572 MHz (B&H # SESKM865XSWA). A combination of any two of the Sennheiser XS Series Transmitters can be used simultaneously with the EM-XSW 1 Receiver.

Q: 6. How far can you be from the receiver before the signal starts to drop out ?

A: Every situation is different, so it is difficult to say what kind of distance you will get exactly, before the RF signal begins to drop off. Given the output power of the transmitter is 10mW, you can expect clear reception within 75-100 feet in an open space with low RF and a low squelch setting.

Q: 7. with this mic work with my Canon EOS Rebel T4I which I know is cranky and will not work with every mic?

A: It will, and that little mic/line switch in the back in the important thing. Typically you would need to attenuate a line level to mic, but with this system you don't have to, just flip the switch to Mic.

Q: 8. Hello. I want to use this transmitter with a Sennheiser XS receiver (EM-XSW1. This will be for an event in a fairly large venue (an ice rink). Will this combination have enough range? Will it cover the distance without adding static or white noise? Thanks.

A: The Sennheiser SK-XSW-A Bodypack Transmitter and EM-XSW1 Wireless Receiver can operate within a maximum range of up to approximately 200 to 250 feet line of sight. With the EM-XSW2 Wireless Receiver which has external antennas you can get a bit more distance.

Q: 9. Can this transmitter be used with the XS wireless true diversity receiver?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser SKM 835-XSW-A Handheld Transmitter with e835 Capsule is compatible for use with the Sennheiser EM-XSW 1 Receiver.

Q: 10. Can this receiver be used with more than one microphone?

A: No, the Sennheiser EM-XSW 1-A Table Top Receiver is a single-channel receiver that can be used with only one transmitter at a time.

[Cardioid] The transmitter was purchased as an exact replacement for our previous transmitters. The last transmitter lasted over 5 years of daily use and, unfortunately, sometimes misuse. The new transmitter worked perfectly out of the box.

[Dynamic] I'm not a pro, that's why I like to keep things simple but durable. I bought this before, and I need another set. It's wasn't complicated to use. Just connect the receiver to the mixer or your recorder. Sync with the transmitter.

The lavalier mic is not from Sennheiser, but fit's perfectly when screwed on. It even comes with beautiful leather box that fit's the transmitter body and a 3ft xlr cable. Mic itself is smaller than the original ones.
