Reminiscent of the very first Lensbaby Spark 2.0 Sweet 50 Optic Canon RFlens, the Lensbaby Spark 2.0 Sweet 50 Optic Canon RFis a flexible lens body designed for use with Canon RF-mount cameras and to be used in conjunction with the Optic Swap System. This Spark 2.0 is delivered with the Sweet 50 optic, which provides a clear sweet spot of sharp focus that is surrounded by a smooth blur, which can be adjusted depending on how the lens body is positioned. The Spark 2.0's accordion-like design permits nearly unrestricted tilt range, up to 30° in any direction, and requires the distinct squeeze-to-focus movement to manually adjust focus. The Spark 2.0 and Sweet 50 combination also avails an f/2.5-22 adjustable aperture range, 12-blade diaphragm, and a minimum focusing distance of 1.1' for working with close-up subjects.

Q: 10. Is this a good place to start to use Lensbaby lenses to photograph interesting close ups of flowers? I have a Nikon D7500.

A: I will try as best I can. I am an amateur myself here are a few suggestions. First, what your talking about is macrophotography and while Lens Baby lenses can do this type of photography from what I know they are more specialty lenses. The Composer Pro as well as other lenses by "Lens Baby" let you change the point of focus. I myself prefer to use a good macro lens One technique I plan on using is called HDR photography. Photoshop has a limited capability which I plan on experimenting with. My first results are good but depending on you budget you can get other plug ins. My own philosophy is to use high quality macro optics and then use automated focusing rails (my future plans). Art(which photography is) is matter of creativity so you have to decide what is right for you and then get the right equipment based on your budget.

[42.6°] I own a decent amount of lenses and I use multiple focal lengths (16mm and 200mm) to achieve different results and looks in my pictures. I liked the idea of Lensbaby and it provides a different rendering/look for sure! The selling point for me was the price point to try and experiment with something out side the box.

I bought the composer pro 2 with the sweet 50 optic. It gives you a central small circle of sharp focus and surrounds it with a radial blur. The build quality is a mix of metal and plastic, not super tough but it doesn't seem like it's going to fall apart either. This is a manual focus lens, which didn't scare me because I already own and use several manual focus lenses include Zeiss. After messing with it for only 30-60 mins I was not sure about it and didn't know if I liked it. I was not getting a lot of keepers. But I stuck with it and within a couple hours of messing with it, I figured out a couple of key things that makes it work great! You can't really tilt the composer pro 2 all the way to the edges, it will not get sharp really (shifted too far) the light meter in the camera gets tricked a little when you start bending the lens and you might need to adjust exposure. After a very short time I started to see what kind of cool abstract and fun things you can shoot with this lens and the effect it gives you! It's a lot of fun! I have shot a ton of pics with it and wow there's some awesome things you can go with it! It's really great at isolated your subject! And it gives almost all of its images a motion feel to them like they are moving! If you are ok with manual focus or are willing to practice doing it, this lens provides a very unique look and feel to your pictures!

[0.515 lb] I had been looking at this lens for a good while and debating on whether or not to purchase it when B&H put it on sale. Actually, I had just purchased, but not received the Sol 45, and contacted B&H to cancel that purchase and replace it with the Composer II/Sweet 50 Optic. B&H was great to work with and made the switch without hesitation. As for the lens itself, let me say that it provides the opportunity to achieve effects that cannot be easily replicated in post-production. It really enables one's creativity to surface as well. I've read reviews that say it's hard to focus. That's not something I've experienced, I guess in part because I'm used to manually focusing in macro work. To me, focus is quite easy when stopped down to f/5.6 or lower, while it can be challenging when the lens is fully opened. I've found that focusing at f/8 and then opening up to wider apertures works well. The build quality of the lens is great. It is solid. I'm very glad I purchased it!

[Full-Frame] this is a great fun to play with lens. I haven't used it professionally yet a bit afraid to do anything to wild and crazy with it and have a client mad a t me. I have a wedding coming up with a young wet and wild couple that I might try it out on, it could be fun.

[f/2.5] I was looking for something to put something extra in my portraits and this fits the bill. Not gonna lie, it takes some practice to nail focus but the results are worth it.

[f/22] This a an amazing little manual lens -- just the thing for doing close-up (macro) work, when good bokeh is needed. The tilt-shift feature requires some practice, but it allows for a lot of creativity in composing an image. Easily tucked into one's camera bag.

[Manual Focus] This lens baby is the bomb! When done right my pictures have an incredible glow. This lens baby allows you to adjust the sweet spot of focus by physically bending the lens across the wide range of angles
