The Lensbaby Sweet 50 Optic is made for use with the Composer Pro, which can be bought separately, or used interchangeably with the Sweet 50 if you own it already with a different optic. It is a selective focus lens that uses a curved field of focus optic to create a blurred effect around the focus spot.

The 50mm focal length lens has two multi-coated glass elements in one group, and an aperture range of f/2.5 to f/22. The 12-blade internal aperture is easily controlled via a ring on the front of the optic. The sharp sweet spot of focus can be moved within the frame by tilting the Composer Pro's ball-and-socket joint. The size of the sweet spot is also controlled by changing the aperture.

Q: 5. There's some play in the lens due to the front of the lens moving relative to the axis of the barrel. Anyone else seen this problem?

A: That does happen sometimes. That is because a spring in the mount is not very tight. The lens will still work perfectly though and allow for great images. That type of movement happens with any lens of any manufacturer.

Q: 6. Can I use this with my Sony a6000 (E-mount)?

A: yes it does & i'm very happy with it,especially the twist,but it does take a while to get it to really twist but worth the effort .

[Full-Frame] Im a pro photog and lately Ive been wanting g to get more creative with photography that will be for my own creative enjoyment. Using this in an R5 and it produces beautiful results. I think I may look into more Lensbaby lenses. I would like to note the build quality is very good. Please also remember to set your camera to release shutter without lens attached. This is a manual focus lens and the freedom to produce creative shots is solely in your hands. 5

[Manual Focus] This case is well-made and holds my optic swap system, including the lens mount with an optic lens, along with 2 sweet lenses and one edge. In addition, there is room to hold my Velvet 58mm lens. It's nice to be able to keep all of these lenses together and organized. Would recommend. 5

[Manual Focus] I got this primarily for the Twist, and figured I'd get 2 more effects for very little (plus it was 15% off). I love the ~40mm focal length so that was a bonus. So far I've taken it to a local park as well as shot some funky jazz band photos with it on my Fuji X-H1. After using it I realized that I like all 3 effects a lot, plus you can create even more interesting effects by dialing it in between two settings! Also, a MFD of a mere 8 is pretty dang good. It's not an everyday lens, but it's definitely one I keep in my bag for creativity. 5

[f/2.5] Lots of creative potential with these lenses. I bought the 50mm optics. 35mm would have been a little better for the attached Christmas scene, but 50mm works better when doing tilt-shift effects from above a street scene. 5
