A: The Sescom XLR Male to XLR Female In-Line Attenuator (-50 dB) will bring a line level signal down to mic level, although it should be noted that a headphone signal does not have the same impedance as a true line output.

A: Sescom manufacturers their own XLR connectors which are metal.

Q: 4. To get additional length to the cable can I add an additional cable such as another XLR cable or another 3.5mm cable? If so will it affect sound quality?

A: You would need to do a calculation based on the electrical characteristics of your cable and the length to ascertain if the loss will be noticeable. But realistically your loss should be negligible using most balanced. I suggest a star quad type cable (4 conductor, shielded individually).

[25 AWG] Over the years, Whirlwind products have proved their sustainability over and over. One of the primary reasons I chose to order the Whirlwind Medusa snake was because of the great numbering system used on the XLR ends.
