Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. When using the hand unit's wheel, can you "feel" the end points of the lens? Is there a stopping point? Or does the wheel keep spinning without stopping?

A: There are two endpoints on the Nucleus-M hand unit. You have over 300 degrees of rotation.

Q: 2. What would be the best way to power this while let's say, flying on a Freefly Movi M5?

A: Bongo tie a 2nd battery to your M5 and use the Freefly Battery to D-Tap Adapter Cable

Q: 3. How is the range holding up with walls and obsticles between the hand unit and motor and what are those ranges?

A: The Tilta Nucleus-M has a 1000' / 304m wireless line-of-sight range. It's hard to test and know exactly the range between different materials and interferences but the signal should be fine.

Q: 4. By using 2 motors in the package of tilta ,how can we control 3 function of focus, iris, zoom?,dr asok

A: You have to buy a 3rd motor for that. The kit comes with two motors and leaves room in the case for a 3rd if you want to upgrade for all 3.

Q: 5. Does this work with Nikon D3300,3400, and D4 cameras in terms of power for record purposes and zoom/focus controls?

A: This is not going to trigger start/stop recording wit those cameras. However it will be able to control the zoom and focus for any lens it is rigged up to.

Q: 6. Any issues with 18650 batteries? We will be lending this out to students?

A: some of the 18650 batters are too long for the battery compartment, the Zhiyun-Tech GMB-B117 18650 Lithium-Ion Battery will work

Q: 7. Is it possible to zoom and focus with one hand?

A: It is not designed to allow zooming and focusing with one hand.

Q: 8. Does the Right Handgrip display the battery level?

A: The Nucleus M handgrips do not have a battery level indicator in them. They do, however, have a voltage read out that can give you an idea of when the battery is low. If the handle is around 7v then you will want to swap out the batteries.

Q: 9. Could I attach this handgrip to a regular tripod arm?

A: Yes, you could attach the handgrip in the Tilta Nucleus-M Wireless Lens Control System Partial Kit II (Right Handgrip) to a regular tripod arm. You will also need a clamp with an ARRI-standard rosette adapter.

Q: 10. How noisy are the motors? Enough to cause issues w/ sound?

A: This is a new product and as of yet untested by customers. I will say however, that this product is for the pro market. And if the motors are the least bit noisy, this will not sell. I am sure Tilta is well aware of this and has made this product accordingly.

[46" / 117 cm] A bit more expensive than I planned to spend but the ease of use makes it so worth it. It paired right up with the camera (OM1) and I love that it is wireless so no chance of a cable shaking the camera during long exposures.

[46" / 117 cm] I'm a veteran Hollywood union focus puller and a long time wireless focus user. I've been looking for an affordable, three channel alternative for some time. After using one on a short film in 2015, I decided to purchase this system from Chrosziel. I'm very happy with it so far. Chrosziel is a small company and they are dedicated to customer service. After offering a few suggestions, I saw them implemented almost immediately. The device works as a focus puller would expect. The system is compatible with a wide variety of motors and uses Lemo connectors. It is compatible with Preston motors if you already own those. I have two handsets and send control of the iris to the 2nd handset for the DP. Firmware updates are downloaded from the website and easy to install via a USB stick.

[46" / 117 cm] Amazing product. Takes a bit of time to get a feel for the remote and such, and we need to calibrate it somewhat often, but perfect focus control and have had no problems with its operation so far. Definitely recommend.

[46" / 117 cm] This control system is excellent. It works with Epson projectors out of the box, however I use all InFocus and it's remote learning functions make it simple to program and easy to use. You can have one of these up and running and controlling a projector in literally minutes (save the install and wiring of it, of course) It comes with several pieces you can switch out on the control surface for each of the three areas of control. Power, source select and volume up/down, to match your needs. It also has a blank panel if you are installing in a room that you want the users to have very little control other than on and off. It glows a nice blue color for easy use in a dim or dark room, fits in a single gang box which can be mounted on the exterior of the wall with cable raceway for the easiest possible installation (you don't event have to cut thru walls!) Just make sure if you use the IR with remote learning and you don't have an epson, that your projectors remote control has the functions you want the panel to have. you can only program the panel to do things the remote control has buttons for....

[46" / 117 cm] Finally, a bluetooth remote for my new OM-1. No chance of blurred telephoto and long-exposure shots from a remote cable.

[46" / 117 cm] After trying numerous follow focus systems including ones that were from the “best” manufacturers, we still had issues getting reliability out of a wireless FIZ control system, and poor customer service even from vendors charging a very high premium for their products. Finally we tried Chroziel and not only did their magnum system work flawlessly, their customer service is great, and best of all if you are using Canon Cine Servo lenses it works natively with them so you don’t need to use as many motors for FIZ control, or depending on the lens you may not need any (i.e Canon 50-1000). This all makes for a reliable, and much more self contained system than any other on the market. I wouldn’t even consider a brand other than Chroziel for FIZ control after using the Magnum.
