CAME-TV Boltzen Perseus RGBDT 55W Travel Kitoffers this P-1200 Boltzen Perseus RGBDT LED Light for when you want ultimate color control, wireless control, and power options. The light has a wide CCT range of 2000 to 10,000K to fit seamlessly into any ambient light situation, or to let you exercise creative impulses. The light's high CRI/TLCI ratings of 96/97 are an indication of superior accuracy in its rendition of color. The panel is dimmable from to 100% and while you can make adjustments to color and light intensity locally on the fixture they can also be made from a smartphone via Bluetooth or with an optional remote controller.

Another impressive feature of the P-1200 is its RGB mode that gives you access to literally millions of custom colors. The panel includes a soft case, an AC power adapter, and a power cord. Since the Perseus has a V-Mount battery plate, it can also run on a separately purchased battery when AC power is unavailable.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If I buy the Came-TV soft box for this light, will they mount immediately to this light, or do I need something else separate to make them fit?

A: You will need one of these to use a Bowens mount softbox. https://bhpho.to/3kMFD7O

Q: 2. How does this light compared to the Aria 150 , I want to light a small dance floor for a wedding would this do the trick ?

A: Hey Jo. Take it you mean Arri 150? Yes I'd say it's a little brighter. Would be good to spot into a mirror ball or something like that. But lighting a whole dance floor, probably not.

Q: 3. Can you attach gels to these lights?

A: It comes with a CTO filter that you can attach between the barndoor and the light. You can cut a gel filter with the same measure and attach at this place.

Q: 4. I would like to hang this light 20 feet in the air. If I power them by a 120V non-dimable power source, will they turn on at the settings last used? Or will someone have to turn them on or adjust the dimmer settings. I want to put them on a light switch on the wall and have them turn on at the prescribed dimmer setting.

A: Yes, the light will remain at the last setting after powering off.

Q: 5. How do I get a replacement power supply??

A: You may contact the manufacturer directly for a replacement power supply. https://bit.ly/2AeXEZB

Q: 6. What features can you control through DMX?

A: You can control light intensity, hue, saturation and timings.

Q: 7. I bought two lights at separate times but it would be great to be able to carry them in one case. Is the hardcase available for sale?

A: Unfortunately, we do not carry hard case included in the the CAME-TV Boltzen 55W Focusable LED Fresnel 2-Light Kit as a separate accessory. However, you would be able to contact the manufacturer CAME-TV directly and they should be able to assist you with obtaining a replacement hard case for your usage needs.

Q: 8. What's the SSI rating for this LED light?

A: The manufacturer does not have a SSI rating for this affordable, entry level light. It does have a Color Accuracy Standard rating of CRI 94.

Q: 9. What’s the Lux or lumens output range of the fixture?

A: LUX at one meter according to the manufacturer: 3,528LUX @ 5,600k 3,300LUX @ 3,200k

Q: 10. The Came TV website shows the 1200R-2 kit includes the foam insert for a Pelican 1510 case. Is that included when ordered from B&H, too?

A: Yes it does come with the Foam insert to fit the Pelican 1500NF Case (without Foam )which is purchased separately.

[Yes] I gave this 5 stars based on the light itself. It would be tough using these as a key light. They are bright but with diffusion such as a soft box you lose about 1.5 stops. Without diffusion they are definitely bright enough but it's a hard light. The focusable Fresnel ability works well however there isn't that defined edge you might think. If you use the Tungsten gel you will lose a stop as well. I use these as hair, fill, background lights and they are fantastic for those purposes. The case is a nice touch and make the lights very mobile. I don't use the battery function as I use them in a studio setting. For video they are a great addition to any studio. The lights fit in the case with U-brackets attached. You can purchase a Bowens mount adapter for the lights but I'm not sure the build quality will support the weight for long periods of time. I have the 60 watt version with Bowens mount and it's a load when using a 36" Octobox. If you were to use these for a mobile light set I'm sure you would be happy. They are light and while I'm not sure the build quality is there for attaching modifiers, alone they seem rugged enough to last a long time. If you remove the Fresnel lens the beam pattern widens considerably. It would take two lights to evenly light a large backdrop but for accent lights with gels they are fine.

[5920 (at 5600K)] This is my second Boltzen B-30. I bought the first one for a specific night shoot where I needed a battery powered long throw light to work with my other softer LEDs. I liked it so well I bought the second one.

I use the FP970 (large size) battery and have never run it down on a shoot. The light is solid, metal, well built. It has a longer throw and smaller spot than I expected, which is good. I can put on the difuser (comes with the kit along with CTO disc as well) and have a soft light good enough for portraits.

The barn doors cut the light nicely but you don't get a sharp shadow as with a typical tungsten fresnel like the Arri. However, I also have a Litepanels LED fresnel, and the shadow is very close in terms of the edge it can make. The Litepanels cost about 4 times as much and would require purchase of a large V-mount battery and charger if I wanted to use it outdoors at night.

To spot and flood the light you push or pull the front ring, rather than turn a knob. It works fine. To add the diffuser or 3200K filter, you unscrew the barn door ring, quick and easy to do.

Because I use the larger battery I have to remove it before folding the bracket down to store the light it its case, but I never leave batteries on anyway. If you do then you could use the smaller batteries. The case is included as well as cord and power supply. Batteries and charger are not included, but I bought two Neewer batteries with charger for around $75. They work as well as any of the other NP style batteries I have. On both lights it takes some pressure to put on and remove the battery but that will probably loosen up a bit with time. I've found that always seems to be the case with third party cheaper batteries.

[2000 to 10,000K] I use these lights as background, back, or fill lights - mostly for corporate talking-head stuff, but I've also used them for product videos, and some structured b-roll. While these certainly aren't the highest quality in terms of robustness and durability (mostly plastic) they are super lightweight, well made, the CRI is great, and they are really user-friendly. I HIGHLY recommend these lights if you're looking for a solid, punchy LED light on a budget.

[2000 to 10,000K] I am a wedding Videographer in Australia, and shoot on GH5 platforms, these cameras are not the best low light camera, so lighting is very important, B&H was super quick posting these out to me within 3-4 days I had at my doorstep.

[RGB] Good power, good throw, good color, and great powering options. This light can be powered off Sony NP batteries, off of D-Tap, or AC Wall power. A very versatile set of lights that can fit in a small backpack. This LED Light has two different versions. A great option from the manufacturer. One has a built in fan and the other has no fan in case you are concerned about fan noise.

[2000 to 10,000K] So far I am loving these lights! They are bright and the color is great. I do wish they came with more of their accessories instead of having to buy them separately, but the lights themselves are solid.
