Q: 1. What lens could I use this macro lens kit filter with? I have a Nikon 50mm 1.8, 85mm 1.8, and a Tampon 35mm 1.4 lens. Would this macro lens kit fit any of these lenses listed above?

[0.25 lb] Complete win. Extremely happy with a performance of this product. Was using it literally five minutes after it arrived. Worked perfectly. B&H’s service exceeded expectations. Product came much faster than predicted.

[10x] The construction quality of this lens seems very high and the images it produces are all that I expected. The lens accessory is very easy to attach using the supplied Allen key and the bayonet mount attachment makes it very quick and easy to remove the lens if you need to. I also like that this combination provides extra protection to the Sony lens including possible scratches and dust. The 62mm threaded front ring allows me to use various filters like UV, ND, Enhancing or a Polarizer. It comes with a nice 62mm lens cap.

[3.1 x 3 x 1.9"] I wanted to experiment with macro photography on a budget.  I purchased three close lenses from B&H; the Opteka 10x High Definition II Professional (BH# OPT6210X), the  B+W Close-Up +4 (BH# BWCU462), and the B+W Close-Up +2 (BH# BWCU262).  The Opteka was the best of the three and produced excellent results.  It was the only lens that had almost no chromatic aberration, which was barely noticeable at the corners.  I’ve attached a test photo example.  The Opteka 10x  is a great accessory for my Panasonic
DMC-FZ1000.  I shoot at 90 mm, f8.0, with the manual focus set to closet focus. With this setup, the plane of focus is 2.25 inches from the front of the filter ring and the sensor will capture 40mm (1.6 inches) on the long dimension.  The magnification on the sensor is
approximately 0.33x the actual size of the object being photographed.  Therefore, a 3-inch-long object will be 1 inch long on the camera sensor.  You’ll get great detail when printing (full frame – no crop) at 12 x 18 inches on metal at 300 dots per inch.  The final display magnification is 11.4x, which makes flower close-ups look amazing!  The bottom line is that I can get great close-up photos of flowers and I’ve learned that I’d have to spend a lot more money to build a true macro system.   FYI, the chromatic aberration from both B+W Close-Up lenses was unacceptable so I returned them.  The chromatic aberration from the B+W +4 was so strong that I couldn’t correct it in Lightroom.  The chromatic aberration from the B+W +2 was less but it started near the center.

[10x] For the price, this is a great way to get some interesting shots. If you're just a casual photographer like me, this might be a good option to warm up to some more expensive macro lenses, or something relatively cheap to carry around with you in some more rugged environments. Auto-focus doesn't go so well with this lens attachment, but that's just fine. You'll need a bit more light as well, or a tripod to get the really good shots.

[10x] I like this macro light. It is much easier to use and more consistent than a macro flash as it is always on. You simply photograph as you would in ambient light. If anything it could be a bit brighter but that's not so important as a tripod is used.
