Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will these work on a Mole-Richardson 3641 Super Husky Baby Stand that has 19mm square legs?

A: Doubtful; the extra space would probably cause too much wobble at the end of the stand's legs. Also the angle of the wheel's mount may be different from the fully deployed legs.

Q: 2. What stand is being used for the display image?

A: Please review the following item Kupo Midi Baby Kit Stand (10.3') BH #KUKS106311 • MFR #KS106311 https://bhpho.to/3FMixZi

Q: 3. What size allen wrench do you need to tighten the casters?

A: According to Kupo, the set screw on the Kupo 80mm Brake Caster 22mm Round (Set of 3) have a 3mm Allen socket.

Q: 4. Will this fit the Kupo KS140611 13' Baby stand with square legs? I can drill the legs out if needed. I plan to use a boom arm with the kit and am wondering about stability.

A: Hi,Wheels are not recommended when using the KS140611 stand.KS140511 may be a better choice if wheels are a requirement.Regards,Will HBrand Manager Lighting, Mac Group US

Q: 5. Will this fit the Manfrotto 190go! carbon fiber tripod?

Q: 6. Will this fit Avenger A2033 C-Stands?

A: This 110G wheels only fit Manfrotto stands with a 22mm leg. They will not fit the legs on an Avenger A2033 C-stand.

Q: 7. How difficult is the installation of the casters?

A: With the proper tools take no more then 20 min.

Q: 8. Hi! Will this fit the "Kupo Slider stands" (KS106111)? Thank you!

A: The Kupo KS106111 uses a 25mm leg and is not compatible with this KS940422.

Q: 9. Will these work with 25mm C stands?

A: No; casters are not recommended for use with C-stands. Attempting to use casters on C-stands can make the stand unstable and dangerous. We do not have casters designed or recommended for use on C-stands.

Q: 10. I have a Manfrotto 104BAC and wonder if this caster would fit on those legs? Thanks

A: Hi,This Kupo caster set fits legs with a 22mm diameter. Check the diameter on the 1004BAC legs.Regards,Will HBrand Manager Lighting, MAC Group US

[3.195 lb] For some stands I need to wheel around the studio. Saves photographer wear and tear...!

[Yes] I've purchased wheels for all my heavy duty light stands. I find it to be the safest way move top heavy studio equipment. The wheels allow for fine adjustments to the location of lights without having to lift the base of the stand off the ground. The end result is the stands are less prone to toppling over. When choosing caster sets I always try to purchase the largest wheel diameter available. The larger the wheel diameter, the easier it is to roll over cables and imperfections in the floor. I also strongly recommend locking wheels to be sure the equipment stays exactly as you left it. In short, the investment in castors can help prevent accidents which can otherwise be quite costly when it comes to replacing expensive flashes and/or continuous lighting.

[Yes] These casters make a heavy C-stand easy to move around the studio. They are easy to install and have the ability to lock in place. Well made.

[Yes] I tried a pair of these at first since the reviews were not great. I believe people are installing them wrong. I have a couple of the 3 pack Impact heavy Duty stands and these work great with it and super secure. Needless to say, I have now 9 of these on all my stands with no issues at all. Just make sure they're installed correctly.

[Metal, Rubber] I bought a set of these a few years ago for an Impact Heavy Duty Air-cushioned light stand with a boom and heavy lamp. The wheels fit fine, but no matter how much I tightened them they eventually flopped over. I was continually having to reset and tighten them, and finally just removed them. Fortunately I did not throw them away. In a what-if moment I thought about inserting a layer double sided tape in the caster leg recess. It worked perfectly, no sliding around at all. (I realized later that I could have more easily wrapped the stand leg instead of fitting the tape strip into the caster recess.) I have since purchased two more sets for two other identical Impact stands. Rather than using double sided tape I used Scotch Interior Mount tape to cover the the face of the chrome pressure plate. (Another reviewer suggested gaffer tape which may also work, but it is not sticky on both sides.) It works just as well as my previous remedy and is a lot easier than the regular double sided tape. I don't know about other brands, but I can highly recommend these casters for the Impact Heavy Duty light stand.

[Metal, Rubber] At first I was suspicious
Then it came to me and it seems to work well
Very high quality everything is built of metal except the cover of the screw that locks the leg of the tripod is made of plastic and it is a bit disappointing
But overall it works perfectly
highly recommend!!!

[Yes] I got new heavy weight light stands (very pleased with them too) but obviously, to move a Key light (for example) with weights it would be an uncomfortable task. Enter the Impact Locking casters. Problem solved! Yes, you should read about how to set up your bottom light stand legs for the wheels to be leveled but I do not consider that a problem. On the contrary, it shortens the legs footprint which can be very large at full extension. Locking mechanism worked perfectly.

[Metal, Rubber] I found these to be extremely well made. They are perfect for folding tripod light stands. As you might imagine, it's so much easier to roll a stand than to carry it around, especially with the added weight of a light and modifiers.

Yes, the tripod legs have to be at the proper angle in order to have the best rolling experience. It's really not an issue. When I first installed the wheels and set the proper angle, I marked the center column just above the upper leg casting. Now, when I open the stand, I can easily set the leg angle to the perfect position. Done!

The brakes work very well, and the three-inch polymer wheels roll nicely over any flat surface, even carpeting.

Just make sure your sizing them correctly to your stand legs. These are the 25mm version, but Impact also has a set for 22mm legs. You'll save even more on those.

So, get rolling... You won't regret it.

[Metal, Rubber] It is kind of hard to be excited about casters. They either work well or they don't. These work well. ... A note for first-timers: There is a right way and a wrong way to attach castors to a tripod. The correct way is to attach the casters so the flat surface of the brake mechanism over the wheel is perfectly parallel to the floor.
