Q: 1. What have been your experiences with this tripod? Have you found that the legs collapse easily? Must you be extra careful tightening the legs?. The column that goes up and down, must you also be vigilant that it too has been tightened "hard"? And, finally, the ballhead itself, can it hold without sagging ( or tipping over) a NIKON D90 or D7000 or D610 with battery grips and a 300MM lens?

A: The A1005Y is an excellent combination of streanth & portability. It has a 22 pound load capacity, well within your system requirements. The Sirui twist lock system only requires 1/2 turn to loosen or tighten. When loosened the legs move smoothly. When tightened they are solid. The Y-10 head is very solid. No Sirui products require excessive force to function properly.

Q: 2. Will Manfrotto XPRO 3-Way Gear head fit on this leg?

A: Yes.

Q: 3. I'm planning on using it with Gimbal head and D7200 with 150-600 mm Sigma Sport lens?

A: If your inquiry is may the Sirui ET-2004 Aluminum Tripod with E-20 Ball Head be used with a gimbal head and your Nikon D7200/Sigma 150-600mm lens combination, then the answer is yes. The combined weight of the Nikon D7200 DSLR camera and the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports Lens for Nikon is 7.79 lbs (3.53 kg), and the Sirui ET-2004 Aluminum Tripod with E-20 Ball Head has a maximum load capacity of 26.5 lb (12 kg).

Q: 4. How will it hold a Canon 6D with a sigma 150-500 mm lens?

A: Can't speak to that specific model but the lbs rating lives up to whatever you can throw at it. This tripod has heavy duty construction amd is very stable. You'll be hard pressed to find a better value or a more compact tripod with this weight rating. I had to tighten down the leg supports after a couple uses with heavy gear but i haven't had slipage since. Again, you won't go wrong here.

Q: 5. Can the head be removed and replaced with another brand?

A: YES

Q: 6. How tall can the Sirius A1005 tripod w y-10 ball head without the center post extended?

A: It is 42.7" maximum height without center post extended.

Q: 7. Can the feet be removed and replaced?

A: No, on the Sirui model ET-1004, the rubber feet are fixed and non-interchangeable/removeable.

Q: 8. Is 57 the maximum height with the center column extended?

A: Yes it is at least 57 I measure 59 with center column extended and legs set for normal use. SFK

Q: 9. Does anyone know if the attachment plate has a D ring in addition the the hex key?

A: Yes the quick release plate has a "D" ring attached to the screw.

Q: 10. I really like the concept behind this tripod, It will fit in my bag and is a half pound lighter than the 2004. I have two questions 1) I assume I can replace the ballhead (I already have a good Markins one). It doesn't seem they sell them separtely (legs from head). 2) Do you think the setup can stably handle a 150-450mm lens (4.4lbs/2 kg) lens on a smallish SLR body?

A: Ye it can easily handle the setup

[3.035 lb] I was looking for a lightweight, compact travel tripod to use with my Nikon D850 with telephoto lens. I had read that with most of these types of tripods you needed something that exceeded the actual weight of your camera and lens to ensure good stability. I knew that there would be some tradeoff with a travel tripod, as compared to a standard, heavier tripod, which I have. Although I have not used the Sirui extensively, it feels substantial and is more stable than I expected for a tripod that weighs only 2.7 lb. It is rated for a load capacity of 22 lb. and folds to a compact 14. The tripod has a detachable leg which converts into a monopod which is a nice feature. I am very pleased with the tripod and with the rebate provided by the company, the price was very right.

[16 x 4 x 4"] Very sturdy for a very small tripod. I like to carry a small tripod when I walk the dogs around the lakes near my home. This allows me to grab some sunset shots without carrying a big tripod.

[Twist Lock] On 12-12-21, I purchased this Sirui NT 1005XE10 travel tripod. It is perfect for my Fujifilm X-T-2 camera and lens i.e. Fujinon 16mm F1.4 & Fjuinon 18-135mm F 3.5-5.6. The tripod provides adequate height, is light weight and very functional with the E-10 ball head for a great price at B-D Photo & Video.

[5] I have never been a fan of tripods, I prefer to hand hold. But when I got a lens that weighed almost 8# I needed something. This tripod is sturdy enough to hold the boat anchor lens and gimbal with no problem. What a joy to use this and feel that my equipment is safe and steady. While it's heavier than I would want to carry for a great distance it's great if you're sticking to one spot.

[Yes] Light, and amazingly sturdy. Some complain about the stiff legs but it comes with allen wrenches so you can loosen or tighten them. Also if you have some muscle it's not a problem. I'd rather they be a little stiff that to loose. Best travel tripod I've bought so far.

[16 x 4 x 4"] This is my 2nd Sirui 2004 tripod. Both are excellent quality and work great. B&H were great a guiding me through the rebate process. I would buy another Sirui tripod if it was needed.

[90°] I had the Sirui 3004X for years and found it very sturdy and workable. When that was stolen I looked and compared a lot of tripods. I don't use the tripod for my long heavy lenses anymore but loved the stability of my old Sirui even for astrophotography. So I settled on this slightly lighter version and have been completely satisfied with it.

[Ball Head] At first I was looking at the smaller and lighter tripods, like the T004 and T005 series, but went for this because it is a little stouter. Smallest leg section is 0.5" (13mm) in diameter. I also like the 2-section center column, plus the ability to convert one leg + center column to a monopod. Also like the release button that keeps the QR plate from sliding out until you're ready. I don't mind having twist locks because that is what I'm used to, and these work fine.

I was aware that this is a little heavier than some of the backpacking types, but the trade-off is that it is sturdier and has a higher load rating. However, the advertised weight of 2.2 pounds does not include the head -- together, the total weight is close to 3.3 pounds. All in all, I still like it a lot.
