This Ink/Sage background features a hand-painted-type, textured surface with graduated deep and light blue tones set off by a dramatic vignette evoking a palette of colors such as new denim or deep water. The reverse surface is an earthy green with a weathered texture design with subtle hints of patina-like contrast.

A: The background is printed.

Q: 3. Which background is more useful for corporate headshot - white/grey or black/grey?

A: Color choice is entirely a matter of style, what lighting you use and camera settings. I use a grey only background. Between the camera and light settings I can go from pure white to solid black and with a gel I can get any color I need.

Q: 4. Are there any hooks or straps on the background to use to attach to a (horizontal) pole, like the kind you would use between two stands?

A: There are straps on all sides and a loop at the top. You can hang easily hang it vertically or horizontally. The trick is learning how to fold it up. I found a video on YouTube that shows how to do it and with 2 or 3 practices it is easy to fold up. It is nice addition to a portable studio set up.

A: When folded it has an approximate 27" diameter.

A: It is made of polyester.

A: With a tight lens for a single person you can make it work. Its a little too small for groups or full body coverage.

Q: 10. Does this come with equipment to stand or do we have to purchase a light stand and/or boom separately?

A: No the item does not come with a stand. I recommend a sturdy stand at least a Manfrotto not the Lastolite (Lastolite 3355 Bracketed Stand) as it is way too light and will just tip over - I know I got this. Another recommendation is a Lastolite Magnetic Background Support (LL LB1120). This attached to the top of your light stand and the background will just click onto the magnets. Hope this help.

[Fabric] Very nice background! Disapointed that I could not use the Impact clamp to hold the background. The metal rim was too big. I would highly recommend instead to use the Lastolite Magnectic Support instead! 5

[1x Bag] This is a lovely and flexible background for 3/4 length portraits to head shots. It gives a classic look to portraits without being distracting. I like that it has two sides although I wish they weren't so similar (maybe one should have been gray or a bluish color). It's easy to set up, but no instructions on how to fold it back up. Fortunately, there are some good videos on YouTube. It's easy once you know the trick. The background is much heavier than I expected, but that also a good thing. Also, I would suggest getting the stand for it with magnetic holders at the top. It makes setting up a breeze. And, it's easy to change the background from portrait to landscape mode. 5

[Fabric] To fold up this backdrop start with the short side near you. And follow you tube instructions. Much better material than Savage's Earth tone background that can be seen through. 5

[Yes] I use this all the time. I wanted a large backdrop so that I could hide all the oddities of a quirky home wall. I use it in tandem with the Lastolite magnetic background it. It's super easy to set up and take down and it gives a professional look to your project. I did need to watch an on-line video to collapse the screen but it became easy. The colors are good. I wish they also had this is in two tones of grey. 5
