So, is this 4K or 1080 with upscaling. So, it accepts 4K, then converts it to 1080P, then UPSCALES back to 4K for recording? This seems like a terrible way to record 4K. Unless I'm not understanding something? Please clear this up.

[HDMI/USB] I had another video capture device that worked fine with my Nikon Z6 II, but for some reason could not deal with the Z8's 1080p video output. This one does the trick and has worked for a few months now without issue. It gets a little warm in use, but it's not too bad, and it doesn't really bother me since it's at the back of my Thunderbolt dock. 5

[USB Audio] I really didn't have many expectations when I ordered this. But, I am pleasantly surprised at how great the video and sound capture were on this. Keep in mind, USB devices usually only go up to 60FPS so keep your expectations limited to that. But if you think about the quality of plug and play devices that rhyme with toku, they only go up to 60fps IF you have a higher end model. Even the fire devices have very low refresh rate. So, any high quality is going to be brought down to DVD quality. That said, this captures as good as any device in that quality range. I love that I can hook up my DSLR and use it as a web cam! Photo is a capture of HD video streaming into my camera app. 5

[HDMI/USB] Purchased this to add a wireless 3.5mm mic to a PTZ camera that outputs video through HDMI. The camera has a 3.5mm audio in, but sounded like garbage. This fixed that. If anyone is wondering: I did PTZ HDMI to the KanexPro, Wireless mic to the 3.5mm Line In, HDMI from the KanexPro to a deck recorder. This embeds the audio to HMDI without any lip-sync issues that I've noticed. Sounds decent for the price. Will be running this on a 24/7 PTZ camera. Hopefully it holds up. 5
