This formfitting UURig Metal Cage for Sony ZV-1 | Compact Camera Rigfrom UURig Metal Cage for Sony ZV-1 | Compact Camera Rigprotects your Sony ZV-1 camera without impeding access to your camera's functions, displays, ports, or battery. The camera mounts onto the cage via a front ring clamp that securely holds the camera, and the cage features a pad to protect your camera from metal-on-metal contact. An ergonomic wooden right-side handgrip provides a comfortable gripping surface.

The cage incorporates multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes and features a shoe mount on the side for a light or microphone. The top of the cage features a 3/8"-16 threaded accessory mounting hole with ant-twist divots. The bottom of the cage is tapped with multiple 1/4"-20 mounting threads to connect a camera plate for tripod mounting.

A: Due to the L-component being situated on the right-side of the camera, certain accessories might be a little tight to squeeze in when mounted vertically. If you look through some of the photos, you'll see they were able to connect a microphone and light still, but your mileage may vary.

[Cage] Doesn't add much bulk. Just make sure you slide the camera all the way in before tightening the screw, otherwise you won't be able to access the battery/card door. 5

[Aluminum, Wood] Very good price. It gives a decent grip. The cage is light weight, good looking, add protection and the possibility to use a fill light and a microphone at the same time. I wish the RX100vii version was in a similar price bracket. It has an Arca plate at the bottom, to be quickly mounted on tripods, and provides many mounting options. The only con is that it requires an Allen key to be installed or removed, so if you are in the field and would like to unmount the camera you need to carry an allen key with you. But this cage allows removing the battery, memory cards, and access to all ports while it is mounted. So there is not really much need to remove the cage. 5

[Sony ZV-1] This case gives many attachments for 1/4 inch and 3/4 inch screw mounts, two extra coldshoe mounts, a very nice wooden handle grip, and even a built in adaptor on the bottom to easily slide into many compatible tripods without needing to screw in a Tripod mount adaptor. I looked at many cages before purchasing this one and this one had the most features while also looking and feeling premium. This increases the functionality of my Z V-1 greatly and makes me want to use it even more 5

[6 x 3.5 x 2.3"] I purchased Sony ZV-1 for its portability, but it's so small for my large hand that holding such a small camera became quite awkward. This UURig Cage solved that problem very nicely. It's light yet solidly built and well designed. All the access to camera ports and the flip screen function are unhindered. With its built in threads, I can attach other accessories. The built in cold shoe is perfectly placed for attaching my directional mic. 5

[0.335 lb] Great fit and great looking! The wooden handle is a perfect size and cage adds another level of protection from a drop to camera. I had one drop already and do not want to experience another one. ZV-1 feels safer! 5
