Transmit uncompressed, 1080p60, 10-bit, 4:2:2 video up to 3280' with the CINEGEARS Ghost-Eye Transmission Kit 1000M V3. The kit includes a single transmitter and single receiver, and it also safely supports up to any four receivers simultaneously on each channel. It's cross-compatible with all receivers in the Ghost-Eye line, so you can connect longer-/shorter-distance receivers.

The receiver features a Gold mount battery plate attached to the back and the transmitter has a Sony L-series plate, or you can power the units using the included 2-pin LEMO-type cables and an optional D-Tap source. Unlike some of the other Ghost-Eye models in which the "M" figure represents the minimum transmission distance ensured, the 3280' distance of the 1000M is the maximum distance supported.

Whether in a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configuration, your HDMI or SDI signal is carried with a low-latency rate of less than 1 ms over the license-free 5 GHz frequency band. The set is also capable of HDMI/SDI cross conversion, so you can input a signal via HDMI and output through SDI, or vice versa.

Small obstacles in the line of sight are compensated for by an adaptive signal logarithm keeping your signal connected. For safety, signals dropped due to interference or loss of line of sight are automatically relinked within 1 ms of the obstacle being removed. Other features of the set include optional AES-128 signal encryption and timecode.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the receiver output HDMI and SDI at the same time to enable a loop to another monitor?

A: Yes you can. If using a smallhd monitor you can just run one sdi out to that, and loop out of the smallhd as well.

Q: 2. Why would I want to buy a 200M or a 150M or any other version of the Cinegears transmitters over this one given the price point of those and this one?In other words... I'm trying to figure out why it's so inexpensive compared to similar models in the past or lesser-performing current models.

A: From the research I've done, it would seem the main difference is signal resiliency. The 600MP model receiver has no external antennae and though it has a range of 600m like it's Ghost-Eye 600M sibling, it is more susceptible to drop-out when you lose line of sight. Because the 600M has those external antennae connectors, this means it also allows connecting the large panel antenna to extend range even further. Take that info and apply it to the 200M - yes, it is only 200 meter range, but it seems the signal is more resilient to objects that would block or interfere. That might mean that in an interior situation the 200M could possibly outperform the 600MP but in an open environment with clear line-of-sight, the 600MP would operate at a range far beyond the 200m limitations of the Ghost-Eye 200M. This is all based on what I could gather on-line so hopefully the manufacturer will chime in and confirm or dispute...

Q: 3. Can the receive receive multiple signals at once?

A: No it can not.

Q: 4. Has anyone used this with a C300mk2? Ive seen a few other systems that had compatibility issues with the Canon.

A: While we are not aware of specific testing, this system should work with the C300 Mark II. You will just need to make sure you are outputting an HD Signal from the camera. It will not process a 4K signal.

Q: 5. How does the transmitter mount to a camera? We own the Ghost-Eye 600M and it has a 1/4"/20 screw terminals, this has none shown.

A: The most common way the CINEGEARS Ghost-Eye Wireless HDMI & SDI Video Transmitter 1000 and other wireless TX is mounted to a camera is on a cage for the camera and with an articulating arm.

Q: 6. What is the latency of the signal?

A: Cine-Gears does not list latency. The only state "your video and audio signals get sent at industry-leading speeds from A to B." Since the B&H reviewers make no mention of latency and seem please with the performance of the equipment, we will say that you probably will be too.

Q: 7. Does this come with v mount or L style battery plates?

A: Actually it comes with L style plates on transmitter and receiver

Q: 8. how much does an L-Battery Last? NPF-970 or 990

A: We used a SWIT battery Sony equivalent for a hockey game, which is around 3 hours and we had no problems. The Sony 970 should be the same.

Q: 9. it says you can power the transmitter via dtap butcan you power the reciever with a d tap?

A: Yes, both tx and rx can be powered via p tap to 2 pin lemo cables.

Q: 10. Is the power/strength level of the transmitter customizable, or is it always going to consume maximum power from batteries?

A: It does not have power/strength settings.

[18 dBm] I use this for the first time, the signal is very good, clear. Thank you.

[5.1 to 5.9 GHz] We Love Ghost-Eye!! And our clients do too!  Just got a text from our
customer on set, he is a sound audio mixer and has 2 feeds from video village to his sound cart (A & B Cam).   He said “I will never do another show without the Ghost Eye!!” We have been using the 150M kits for over a year and have had excellent results on TV shows and movie sets. CineGears support has always been fast and easy to work with if you have questions. We just ordered 2 new Ghost-Eye300M kits from B&H and are excited to get them in the field. Why you ask?? Because our 150M kits are out working and we need more kits for a job! Thanks B&H and CineGears!!

[-70 dBm] All the specs indicate line of sight range, but my need is for wireless transmission on a run & gun audience/stage camera for concerts and live events.  I was worried it might not work if bodies got in the way or if the camera went around a corner or behind a bleacher, etc.  Havent tested in a large audience yet, but I can go out of my office, close the door and get about 50 feet before receiving artifacts.  Going down a staircase, connection is lost completely and it takes a while to reconnect.  As long as the camera operator stops moving away when artifacts begin, this should work reliably for me.

[9 to 18 VDC] For the price it is a great solution, no lag at all

[< 1 ms] This product worked really well. Used it for a Track and Field event and was able to cover the entire stadium.

One heads-up is that for it to work really well, we learnt it had to be mounted very high up to cover the Olympic-size track.

[18 dBm] I've used many different wireless systems, from ultra-cheap Amazon garbage to top-of-the-line studio systems. Ghost-Eye is hands down the best bang for the buck-- I would take these over Paralinx, over Teradek, any day-- It turns on and works, you wouldn't think that would be so hard, and for Ghost-Eye, it's not. I'm going to buy 2 more of these. It makes my life easier and it saves me time. 10 stars--

[40 MHz] This unit is a great line of sight unit. We use it for our run-and-gun onstage shooting. We shoot concert type events for the most part but also use it for seminars, weddings, and other events. As long as you have a good line-of-sight, it works flawlessly.

Was disappointed it did not come with a power source on either end.

[5.1 to 5.9 GHz] I bought one a few months back, and use it all the time. Works great, with very infrequent dropouts or reconnects. Receiver can output HDMI and SDI simultaneously, which has come in handy. The only criticism I have is that it doesn't have SDI loop-through on the receiver end. Solved pretty easily with a T-connector, but it would be nice to have.

[9 to 18 VDC] One the first people to own this; by far it beats all wireless video kits in its class. Simple to setup and use. Solid performance with no hiccups or glitches, and amazing quality and range suitable for any filming environment. I do highly recommend it.
