The Blue edition Starlight Xpress TRIUS PRO-834 CCD Camera with Autoguiderfeatures a ICX834AL EXview II progressive scan CCD sensor to capture views of the cosmos in 1392 x 1040 resolution through your telescope or astrograph. Utilizing a monochrome sensor allows the system to use 100% of its available pixels for better resolution, and gives you the ability to use filters and filter wheels to isolate specific colors and wavelengths for later stacking in post. An integrated auto-guider output port allows you to easily tether it to your off-axis guider (OAG) to improve tracking accuracy and precision during long imaging sessions. There is also a three-port USB hub that allows you to power and control accessories, like filter wheels and electric focusers, from your computer software utilizing just one USB cable between the camera and PC.

[1392 x 1040] Good range, works great.

[360 to 1100 nm] The whole reason I bought it is to stop moving around my guide scope from telescope to telescope and re-calibrate all the time. This one is staying on my mount all the time and the main scope's guider shoe mount remains free for other accessories, like my mini PC.

[42 mm / T2] I bought this with my EVO 6 and it was a breeze to set up and use. I couldn’t imagine using my telescope without this thing. The only ‘complaint’ I have is the supplied cable is way too long - I replaced it with an 18 inch cable so I’m not always moving the excess cable out of the way.

[360 to 1100 nm] I bought this while it was on sale with the Slik PBH-45LP Ball Head. I didn't bother getting spikes, which are sold seperately for the tripod feet (had them on another tripod, and didn't use them), and am fine with this coming with only rubber feet considering the price. This suits my needs of having a fairly light and robust tripod for hiking miles into the mountains while keeping my pack weight down. I've used this with a Z9 and 400mm lens and easily got sharp photos in a stiff cross wind with no problem, and also shot crisp 10 minute astro photo exposures and it's rock solid. I've owned Manfroto and Oben tripods over the years, and find this one to be very good and think it will provide me with many years of good service.

[42 mm / T2] I have two of the original StarSense Autoalign devices. When I saw that Celestron had come out with a new version that included autoguiding, I bought one immediately. I have so far never mastered polar alignment and mostly concentrated on very short exposure photos of the Sun, Moon, and planets. I did not look forward to having to learn polar alignment and buying a guiding camera and installing guiding software and getting it all working. The StarSense Autoguider solved all these problems. It was simple to install (just replaced the original StarSense device) and simple to calibrate. I have a very restricted view so I set up 4 points that described my available view. Now I just click and the StarSense Autoguider does the alignment. I then point to the object of interest and click on guiding. (Note, I didn't do a polar alignment.) The guiding works - once selected it points to the object for hours if need be. Celestron says to get the best results you should do a polar alignment, but it works so well without it. The alignment and set up for guiding literally takes just several minutes. I didn't have to install any new software as Celestron's free CPWI software handles alignment and guiding seamlessly (along with with focusing, dew heater control, etc.). The photo shows the guiding accuracy which is almost always within about +/- 1 arc second. You can use Live VIew to see what the guiding camera sees. You don't choose a star - StarSense uses all the stars it can see for guiding. It works with stars, nebulae, galaxies, planets and the Moon. I highly recommend this product. It's quite remarkable.
