Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this adapter carry Phantom Power from an Audio Recorder?

A: No. You can convert phantom power from the recorder to mic plug-in power, using the Saramonic C-XLR+ version (BH #SACXLRPLUS).

Q: 2. Would this adapter enable me to attach a Synco shotgun mic to a Sony A6700 and record from the Synco straight into the camera?

A: The Movo Photo TCB6 XLR 3-Pin Female to 3.5mm TRS Male Adapter Cable (16") will work with microphones which do not require phantom power. If your microphone requires phantom power, you cannot use an adapter cable to connect it to a camera's 3.5mm microphone input jack.

Q: 3. Second question: Will this also work with the Synco D2 when plugged into the new Beachtek-Max Active Audio Adapter DSLR?

A: No, the Deity Microphones V-Link 3.5mm TRS Male to XLR 3-Pin Male Microphone Adapter Cable will not work with the Synco Mic-D2 Hypercardioid Shotgun Microphone because it has a male XLR connector and the mic requires a female XLR connector. The V-Link Adapter Cable is intended for use with a microphone that has a 3.5mm output and requires plug-in power, but needs to connect to an XLR input. This cable does not allow phantom power to pass through to the microphone. It has a built-in phantom power converter that converts phantom power to 3 to 5V of plug-in power. The Mic-D2 needs to connect to an XLR mic input that can supply 48V of phantom power for the mic to operate.

Q: 4. Quick question, apologies if it's already been asked. I have a Zoom H5 and 2 Rode wireless kits. I want to record both in stereo in 24bit/96khz. If I purchase these adapter will that be possible or will it only record in mono? Thanks in advance.

A: This is for mono only.

Q: 5. Does it work with Rode Wireless Go II?

A: The V-Link adapter should work to connect the output from the Wireless GO II receiver to an XLR mic input. This adapter does have a built-in phantom power converter which would not be of use with the transmitter, but if used as a standard 3.5mm TRS to XLR male cable, it should function properly. As another option, you could use the Cable Techniques 18" 3.5mm R/A Low-Profile XLR-3M Male for RODE Wireless Go Output to Field Mixer and Recorder (B&H # CACTGOX3M18) which does not have the phantom power converter.

Q: 6. Does it come in black?

A: The Deity Microphones V-Link 3.5mm TRS Male to XLR 3-Pin Male Microphone Adapter Cable - 12" is not available in black, but we do have similar cables from other manufacturers in black. The Cable Techniques Rode Wireless GO to Canon C70 Coiled Low-Profile Cable - 8 to 15" (B&H # CACTGOCC708) and the Cable Techniques Rode Wireless GO to 3-Pin XLR Male Low-Profile Cable - 18" (B&H # CACTGOCCX3M8) will both work in the same way as the Deity cable.

Q: 7. Does this provide phantom power like the Deity Microphones D-XLR 3.5mm to XLR Adapter with Phantom to Plug-In Power Conversion BH #DEDXLR? I want to use my Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro into a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface to stream on Twitch with. Would this work?

A: Yes, the Deity Microphones V-Link 3.5mm TRS Male to XLR 3-Pin Male Microphone Adapter Cable can be used for the same types of applications as the Deity Microphones D-XLR 3.5mm to XLR Adapter with Phantom to Plug-In Power Conversion. Like the D-XLR Adapter, the V-Link Cable has a built-in power converter that will allow you to use phantom power (48V) from the XLR input on the Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB Audio Interface and then converts it to plug-in power (3 to 5V), which the Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro Shotgun Microphone requires to function.

Q: 8. Will this connect a Sennheiser EW G3/G4 RX to a MixPre's XLR input? If so, is it 100 (unbalanced) or 500 (balanced) wiring?

A: No, the Deity Microphones V-Link 3.5mm TRS Male to XLR 3-Pin Male Microphone Adapter Cable is not compatible for connection to a Sennheiser receiver. For a similar cable that is compatible for use with a Sennheiser wireless receiver, you can use the Cable Techniques Right-Angle Locking 3.5mm TRS to Low-Profile XLR Male Coiled Cable for Sennheiser (B&H # CACCG4X3M8) or the Sennheiser CL 35-XLR Right-Angle Locking 3.5mm TRS to XLR Male Coiled Output Cable (B&H # SE700062).

Q: 9. Can I use this to connect the Deity HD-TX to my camera?

A: In theory, yes, the Deity Microphones V-Link 3.5mm TRS Male to XLR 3-Pin Male Microphone Adapter Cable could be used to connect an output signal from a camera's 3.5mm headphone jack to the XLR input on the Deity Microphones HD-TX Plug-On Transmitter with Built-In Recorder.

Q: 10. Will this work to connect the Rode Filmmaker Kit to the Tascam DR-70D? I have tried several stereo cables, but it seems to only work with mono.

A: The xlr inputs on the tascam dr70d are mono inputs. the only stereo input is the 1/8in jack.

[0.11 lb] Picture should say it all. Works great with your favorite earbuds or cans. Plug on mic wireless units are now 30 buck and up on Amazon. I figure this approach saved me at least 400 bucks

[0.11 lb] I have a Tascam DR 40 audio recover with two XLR inputs on the bottom. By plugging a Kopul 1/4" TRS Male to 3-pin XLR adapter into the recorder, and then plugging the adapter into the Main Out on my Mackie mixer, the audio recorder almost becomes part of the mixer. Keeps everything neat and manageable.

[Black] This is one of many connectors I purchased for a European DJ job on a ship where I had no idea what audio cable they had. It was perfect and performed wonderfully!
