Q: 3. I have tried screwing this lens hood on and it does not happen for me. Any secrets? I've had lots of lens hoods before this one (I've actually got two because I didn't realize the lens came with one) and both don't work.

A: Hi James, I recently had the same issue. First I also ordered a lens shade as the description did not indicate that one would be in the box. I returned the second one with no problem. As far as putting the lens shade on the lens. There is a removable ring on the front of the lens that needs to be taken off before you can actually add the lens hood. This is not the ideal situation as it is easy to loose. Not sure why Olympus set it up like this. Once you remove the ring you can easily add the lens hood. Hope this helps. By the way so far I am very happy with the results of using this lens. It is very easy to have this lens on the camera most of the time as it is extremely small. Good luck.

A: You cannot use a UV filter when the Voigtlander LH-12 Lens Hood is attached to the Voigtlander Ultron Vintage Line 35mm f/2 Aspherical Type II VM Lens.

A: This hood will not interfere with the metering of the VC II meter. Mounted on an M3 or any other camera.

A: B&H has several 37mm screw-in lens hoods... the Heliopan 71037H would surely work, but I think I'd try the General Brand 37mm Collapsible Rubber Lens Hood first. 17mm field of view isn't all THAT wide, and the rubber hoods collapse if they cause vignetting, but will still provide some protection from off-axis light.

Q: 8. I have a 37mm filter on mine. How does the thumbscrew work? And why does it say 46mm screw in hood if the lens only accepts a 37mm filter????Thanks

A: The hood attaches around the filter. The thumb screw pushes a semicircle band inside the diameter of the hood applying even pressure to hold it on. Its basically a clamp.

Q: 9. Is this lens hood usable for the Zuiko M4/3 14-42mm II zoom kit lens also?

A: Unfortunately, no, it is not. The Olympus LH-40B Lens Hood is only available for the for M.Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8 Lens; it is not compatible with the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 II R Lens. You would need to purchase the Olympus - LH-40 Lens Hood for use with the Olympus M.Zuiko 14-42mm Lens (B&H# OLLH40).

Q: 10. Is it fit a Voigtlander 50mm f1.5 lens

A: No, the Voigtlander LH-10 Lens Hood is is not designed for use with either the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical Lens or the Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical II MC Lens. As an alternative, the Voigtlander LH-6 Lens Hood for 35mm f/1.4 & 40mm f/1.4 Nokton Lens, B&H # VOLH6 • MFR # BD227A, would instead be the correct lens hood for use with the aforementioned lenses.

[Carbon Fiber] This is a very high quality, well designed product that I am truly impressed with. Obviously the designers are or had input from real photographers. A joy to use and substantial enough for my Oly OM-1 with the 40-150mm Pro lens and then some. The case is included and is equally of high quality and utility. The CF-422 is probably a little light for stabilty in strong winds but it is a travel tripod after all. An easy '5 stars' from me. 5

[6 x 5.7 x 5.3"] I never unpack the OEM chargers that come with the cameras I purchase, because the charger and the industrial capacity plug/cord that comes with them are as big as the cameras themselves. When I order the camera, I order this Watson charger, and they have never let me down. To save even more weight and bulk when traveling, you could bring just one charger body and the battery specific faceplates for each battery type you travel with. 5

[0.57 lb] This lens hood comes with no instructions which may sound strange since you may never have had to use instructions to mount your lens hood on your lens before. However, it is made with a little locking mechanism that clicks into place when the lens hood is mounted on your lens. You must press a little button on the side to release the locking mechanism to take it off. There are no instructions provided for this. If you try to take it off without pressing the button you will surely damage it. The first one I received locked properly with the hood mounted for storage, but in the usage position it did not lock and would easily fall off the lens. Either the little locking tooth that is used in the usage position was slightly out of place or broken and I received an item that had been returned by a previous purchaser who broke it Its expensive because of this clever but delicate technology, so be sure to use the push button to remove the hood when you want to dismount it in either position - storage or usage potions. 5

[Proprietary] This is an excellent addition for the 45 mm 1.8 lens. It helps prevent flares and protect the lens from being hit and destroying the lens. 5

[Carbon Fiber] This is the most awesome lens hood I have ever in my life had the pleasure of experiencing. The silver is just the right amount of silver and the feeling that it gives me when I hold it in my hands is only surpassed by the joy I feel when I see it sitting on my desk attached to my camera, calling to me to be used and enjoyed.
