The CHAUVET DJ Intimidator Scan 360 is a dynamic LED special-effect light ideal for mobile entertainers looking to liven up their light shows when performing in small nightclubs, bars, lounges, and more. This fixture carries a triple-faceted rotating prism, splitting the beam to cover larger areas. Easy to set up and program, the Intimidator Scan 360 can operate as a standalone unit in sound-active or auto mode with built-in movement macros, strobe, 0 to 100% dimming, and move-in-black features. For more control, the unit is equipped with two DMX channel modes (8 or 14). The master/slave option lets you coordinate multiple fixtures without the need for a controller. Additionally, you can set and save a programmed scene to recall for use at the your next event.

Other features include an autosensing universal power supply and mounting bracket. To save time running cables and extension cords, you can also daisy-chain power for up to 4 fixtures at 120V or 7 fixtures at 230V. Flicker-free operation enables use in video productions. For wireless control, the Intimidator Scan 360 is compatible with the IRC-6 wireless remote (available separately).

[Scanner] This light was more than I imagined it would be. It looks great, and the light is bright for a smaller location (house, small gym). If you are planning on using it without DMX, keep in mind that you basically have two options: you can set the light on one non-moving setting, or you can set it to demo mode where it goes crazy with different colors, movement, and such. The demo mode is fun, but if you maybe want everything but the strobe light you don't have that option to turn off strobe. So if you are looking for some fun to spice up a DJ setup, go for it. However, it seems like if you have a DMX setup you can really take advantage of all the settings. I liked it so much I bought another! 5

[21°] We bought 6 Spot 260s and for the $$, we definitely got a great product. These lights are everything they are said to be. Bright, On Point Colors, Speed, Responsiveness, etc. I would definitely recommend these to any small Venue wanting some great lights. 5

[Yes] Despite the confusion in the Q&A above, this does have a fan on the bottom, see picture. It's much quieter than either of the two ADJ Dekker models which are the closest comparison I'm aware of. RGBW light quality is identical to those, although with a different dimming curve and strobe timing. The CMYO beams are projected opposing RGBW not mixed with them, which is a neat effect (see other picture of blue and orange channels from a single fixture). Be warned that if you're using SoundSwitch for DMX control, controlling CMYO requires attribute cues not simple color/intensity automation. There are a couple issues with the manual, if I could take off half a star for them I would. The cyan and magenta channels are swapped, and the description of the movement channel could be better. The manual says 001-255, motor speed slow to fast. More accurate would be 0-127 indexed positions, 128-255 fast to slow then slow to fast direction and rotation. The constant rotation gives you a much wider range of movement options vs the ADJ Dekkers, although there's no automated back and forth thus more programming required if you want a basic derby effect (requires attribute cues in SoundSwitch which is kind of a pain). 5

Fire up DMX and not only do you have a nice color palette, but unlike nearly every derby effect light out there you can actually dim the intensity of each color! Really works well when combined with static lighting to get just enough movement blended into your look. Loving it so far! 5
