Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can custom slides be created?

A: No, the Godox Slide Kit for AK-R21 are a proprietary size. And you can not make others for it as of now.

Q: 2. Would a Panasonic HPX-250 fit in this bag well?

A: Yes it will. While designed for the PX270, the HPX250 will fit inside of this bag as well.

Q: 3. According to the specs, the interior is longer than the exterior. That seems wrong! What is the interior length?

A: The correct dimensions of the PortaBrace Camera Case for Panasonic HC-X2 or HC-X20 (Black) are: Interior 20.5 x 10.5 x 10" / 52.1 x 26.7 x 25.4 cm Exterior 22 x 9 x 8.5" / 55.9 x 22.9 x 21.6 cm

Q: 4. Why do you separate this out from the Godox AK-R1 kit. At Amazon the case is part of the AK-R1 package--I think that's the way Godox ships it. I've not seen B&H do this in the past?

A: The case is included with The AK-R1 Accessory Kit

Q: 5. Looks like the handle and mike are on the camera with the rain slicker? I take it you can't fit a wind sock over the mike in the rain slicker?

A: Yes, The PortaBrace Compact HD Rain Slicker for Panasonic HC-X2000 Camera will cover the cameras handle and mic. You should not need wind protection with the rain cover on camera. But a wind muff or foam mic cover would fit.

Q: 6. Is it possible to create your own slides for this projector? Will 35mm slides work, whether in a mount or not?

A: Godox does not indicate the size of the slides included in the Godox AK-R21 Projection Attachment for Flash Heads, but they are not standard-sized 35mm slides. That being said, if you do not mind cutting down a standard 35mm slide to the size of the slide holder included in the above kit, then they may work with the Godox AK-R21. Do note it appears you would have to use unmounted slides.

Q: 7. Will the CS-HCX2 case hold the Panasonic HC-X2 with the rubber eyecup on the camera or does the eyecup need to be removed?

A: The PortaBrace Camera Case for Panasonic HC-X2 or HC-X20 (Black) will have plenty of room for the Panasonic HC-X2's eyecup if installed on the camera. The eyecup does not need to be removed when storing in the Portabrace BH #POCSHCX2 case.

Q: 8. what is the slide size for this projection, are those standard gobo sizes? i want to buy this to use with standard gobos souch as a small circle, long vertical line etc. so wondering if i can buy those gobo slides separately

A: There are several slide kits for the AK-R21 Projection Attachment, which are proprietary. https://bhpho.to/3WLSz0a

Q: 9. The bottom opens for a mono or tripod connection?

A: Yes, The PortaBrace Compact HD Rain Slicker for Panasonic HC-X2000 Camera will allow you to connect the camera to a tripod with the cover on camera.

Q: 10. What is the size of the slides that fit this device?

A: The Godox AK-R21 would use slides that are similar to a 35mm film strip. Those slides can be found here: https://bhpho.to/3IXREWu

[1.93 lb] Actually I’m using this bag with an S1H and it works great - I needed something bigger than a normal dslr camera bag and the big one I hauled around when I used my Varicam to carry all the extras that I needed - I didn’t want to breakdown/setup the S1H after every shot - so this bag gave me the opportunity to leave most of it together - It makes setup and take down easier than having to talk to a client for 20 minutes while I try and rig out my camera - leave it to portabrace - thanks - tim

[Black] I was looking for a case for my new Panasonic DVX200 and found this Porta Brace case. After reading the two reviews here on B&H, I was discouraged. I really wanted a Porta Brace case. I have always been satisfied with their products.

The reviews said many things like the Porta Brace website does not have a custom case for the DVX 200. But it does. It listed this model, their case for the DVX 200.

I also researched reviews on Adorama which were more encouraging.

I decided to take my changes and ordered the case. I took it out for the first time on a shoot this past weekend. WOW, i eliminated many other cases just because of the room this case has. In addition to the DVX 200, I was able to carry two Sennheiser wireless lav kits, a handheld mic w/ flag and transmitter, a Zylight, the camera' s boom mic, headphones, and two small Porta Brace bags (one came with this purchase) full of small accessories, and a v-mount backplate, etc. One outside pouch held two IndiPro Tools v mount batteries. It really has a lot of room in it.

The case came with a padded Porta Brace bag, a white card, one padded divided, a bag that was perfect for the panasonic camera boom mic, two small dividers that fit around the camera and a strap to hold the camera in place. All the dividers, bags (except the Porta Brace branded bag) and strap use velcro so they cam be placed anywhere in the bag allowing some customization.

The case is well constructed. I would recommend this case for the Panasonic DVX200 (or similar size camera) based on my personal experience.

[1.93 lb] I use this raincover for a non conventionnal rain protection , but it fit with all my needs ( Nikon camera fitted with Ninja on top, very large lens and partial protection of a Rodde microphone ) . This single cover is more efficient and large than my tricky last protections combination ( Schtler SR400 + Katta ) or my Think Tank for large lens ( unusable with a Ninja ).

[1.93 lb] This is not as listed. The image is correct and it is for a box lens, NOT and eng. It will work with any camera such as an ursa broadcast etc. The lens part is for a box lens not eng type. BUT if you roll the extra cover back and take the big lens opening and wrap it around the shade of an eng lens and use a big clip to hold it tight at the bottom it will work great. This really lets you work in all types of weather. a MUST have for outside work. Slips on in under 30 seconds.

[Black] This is a great piece of kit that just does what it says it does - it protects your camera. It comes with a rain cover and pockets for your radio transmitters, or lunch, etc, and it just works. Which is great. Thanks portabrace

[1.93 lb] I use the CBA-HPX300 from Porta Brace for my Panasonic HPX371E. It gives the camera the shelter it needs and covers it against rain, snow and other fall-outs. The pockets on the sides are very useful to transport light, wireless or storage. Thos camera boby armor is no handicap to reach any function of the camera. You need that coat for your baby!
