The Porta Brace Rain Slicker is designed to protect the Sony HDC-4300 camcorder from rain, dirt, and dust while in operation. Zippers, flaps, touch fasteners, and vinyl windows allow you to reach critical controls and view meters. The Rain Slicker is easy to put over the camera, microphone, windscreen, batteries, and pistol grip. A Rain Fly covers the entire top of the camera to seal the handle opening.

The slicker is constructed of waterproof Taslan nylon with a soft tricot interior layer that protects the camera. In addition to being waterproof, the Taslan material is breathable and allows heat from the camera to escape while the cover is deployed. The adjustable neoprene lens gasket creates a tight seal around the lens, while an included detachable visor adds extra protection against droplets reaching the glass.

The vinyl windows keep dirt and moisture out but allow quick visual checks on important meters, indicator lights, and switches.

The main body is made from waterproof Taslan nylon material and is protected by a soft layer of nylon tricot, adding significantly to the durability of the coating.

The battery end of the rain slicker has adjustable flaps which can be shortened to fit a slim battery, or lengthened to wrap around larger batteries. Wireless mics can also be accommodated.

Sealed hook-and-loop fastener openings afford plenty of access to hand controls and the power supply while keeping your equipment dry.

A Rain Fly covers the entire top of the camera to seal the handle opening.

A: The bags appear for all intents and purposes the same. Both bags share the same retail price of $289. The BK-5HDV however is severely discounted. I suggest getting the more affordable bag.

[Black] Received my new rain slicker a few days before a big outdoor FS7 shoot where forecast was looking bleak. It was perfect timing! Like one should expect from Portabrace, this product specifically designed for the new Sony FS7 is easy to build onto the camera, and operational controls are easily accessed. Covers the camera completely including the XDCA adapter with battery. I do recommend using a matte box to protect the front of the lens from moisture but also to prevent compromising the image since the drawstring can wrap around the edge of a matte box. No need for the XL version of this product unless you plan to mount external monitor/recorder on the rear. Great value. 5

[Sony HDC-4300] Fits my FX9 well with a Core power adapter and a Anton Bauer brick. It takes a minute to put it in, but once it’s on all controls are visible and accessible. Most importantly, it appears that it’ll keep everything dry. I’ve only had it if light drizzle so far and all was good. 5

[Black] I made this work with my C300 & Gratical finder. I mount the LCD on the back of a shoulder plate, so the camera is not so tall, and more weight is near the back. This rain cover worked pretty well with the EVF, lens, and camera parts in this configuration. 5

[Sony HDC-4300] Excellent cover build quality is second to none. It is a bit of a mission to get the cover on the camera so be aware you won't be able to quickly chuck it on your FS5 if it starts to rain all of a sudden like it does over here in Auckland. Never the less minor issue excellent product highly recommend, have one for my URSA mini 4.6k. 5

[Sony HDC-4300] I bought this for photo-shooting in Iceland. Weather there were so extreme during winter time and the waterfall with chilly weather frozen all my gears including tripod except the camera, because it was protected by this rain cover. Absolutely love this product! However, it would be much better if it is less bulky 5
