The PortaBrace RS-PMWF55 Rain Slicker for Sony PMW-F5/F55from PortaBrace RS-PMWF55 Rain Slicker for Sony PMW-F5/F55is designed to protect your Sony PMW-F5 or PMW-F55 cinema camera from rain and dust. A: We shoot handheld in a lot of rainy weather and it works well. Porta Brace works better than the other rain covers available. It's not 100 percent rain tight but it will work better than anything you can find. Alaska is really wet. It should provide the best protection.

A: The images have been updated. They show the FS7 with a V lock battery. There should be plenty of room for a radio mic.

A: More than likely it will not fit properly. This Rain Slicker is designed for the PXW-X10 and X180. Instead you'd want to purchase B&H #PORSNX5UB which is the Rain Slicker Porta Brace makes specifically for the NX5U.

Q: 8. I bought the Porta Brace RS-FS7 Rain Slicker for my Sony PXW-FS7 but it does not fit. It is too big and too complicated due to the many Velcro pieces that do not line up. Has anyone found a better fitting rain cover that is quicker and easier to fit?

A: I use the extension unit with a brick battery attached so it fits fine for me. I could see how it would be loose without that stuff. The only issue I had was trying to attach the control handle the best way possible. The only other slicker I've heard of is made by Camrade. I'm sure there are reviews out there somewhere. A: The PortaBrace RS-C70 DSLR Rain Slicker for Canon EOS C70 will cover lenses up to 8" in length. You will be able to work with longer lenses though, but part of the lens would not be covered by the Portabrace rain slicker.
