A: it won't work, as the new iMac doesn't let you do custom mount.

A: The Ergotron LX Desk Mount Monitor Arm (Matte Black), BH # ER45241224, does not feature a removeable cylinder. It is integrated into the flat base and clamp asswembies.

A: The laptop tray is an additional accessory.

A: Short answer - No. As previously stated regarding Macs, the way this connects is with a plate and screws. I have the smaller Cintiq (not the 27) and it does not have the appropriate connection. I doubt the 27 does either. This is made specifically for monitors that have the VESA mount.

A: In most cases the monitor can be flushed to the wall surface.

A: The desk clamp is about a 5' square.

Q: 9. I have about 2" of space between the edge of my desk and the wall. Will this space be enough to squeeze the clamp through?

A: That is not enough space. Closer to 4" will be required.
