The switch's USB Type-C port allows you to transfer video, data, and up to 45W of power to compatible laptops.

Switch between your connected systems at the press of a button. You can also configure keyboard hotkeys and your mouse's scroll wheel to switch between computers. This KVMP switch also includes a remote port switcher with a 6' cable.

USB 3.1 Gen 1 features a maximum throughput of 5 Gb/s. USB 3.1 Gen 1 and USB 3.0 are synonymous.

A: You should be able to use the IOGEAR met(AL) USB 3.0 4-Port Hub with Power Adapter without its power supply. But that's going to depend on the devices you're planning to connect. If you're connecting multiple external hard drives, I recommend to use the hub with its power supply.

A: The IOGEAR 4KX2K 4-Port HDMI Switch supports Consumer Electronics Control (CEC), however there is no mention of eARC support.

Q: 7. Can this device allow me to hook up monitors to my laptop?

A: This would only let you connect other USB peripherals such as hard drives, flash drives, card readers, or other USB devices.

A: It's up to 5 Gbps overall, not per port.

Q: 10. What kind of plug does the passthrough adapter use? (Picture is confusing)!

[3] Unlike many KVMs, this thing actually does what it says it can. I'm running two 4K monitors at 60Hz with absolutely no stability issues between a Mac and an Ubuntu machine. Will definitely go for another ATEN box if my needs change. 5

[Yes] I had some questions as to whether this would work with Surveillance Recorders. Support at B&H Photo advised that it should and it does. Saves a lot of space when you have multiple recorders or PCs. I wouldn't have had room if I had to have 4 monitors, keyboards and mice. 5

[AC Adapter] I replaced a GCS 1764 with the 1794 because the 1764 had problems passing the video from more recent video chips, although it worked well with older chips. I presume that the 1794's ability to mimic the attached monitor accounts for the improved performance. I have not managed to test the ability to feed audio thru the HDMI connectors yet. My Panasonic receiver errors out when fed the HDMI video/audio. HDMI video feed direct to the monitor works fine. 5

[3] I first spoke with B&H Photo tech support regarding using this with Lorex NVR. They thought it should work fine and it did. Quite happy with this KVMP, I have 3 Surveillance recorders hooked to a 24 monitor, mouse and speakers. Saves a lot of space and the expense of a monitor, speakers and microphone for each recorder. 5

[Yes] This was a great buy, has two extra USB 2.0 nodes with one on the front for use with thumb sticks or w/e other USB peripheral you use. The foot print of this KVM is half the size of my old VGA Belkin. I have no cons to report. 5

[AC Adapter] I have used Aten KVMs for years. Whenever I am looking for one for another purpose or to match upgraded equipment, I always end up buying another Aten. This KVM doesn't disappoint. Are you stuck working from home? Do you have a sweet home computer with multiple DisplayPort monitors? Do you want to be able to use that same setup with a work computer or laptop? If you answered yes to those questions, this is the KVM for you. I bought this for my wife so she can use her dual monitor setup with work and home computers. She love s it. I have the 4 port version for myself, since I have a couple other computers to manage. Simply put, these KVMs just work. 5

[Yes] I have had no problems with Pearstone HDMI cables. Since I use a laptop and move around to various second screens (Once you go dual, you never go back!) sometimes the 3 footer is just not long enough. So I just bought a 10 foot Pearstone cable from B&H to handle the problem. I still use this cable for the short runs. 5

[AC Adapter] Because you can enter a 1..4 number after the double hot-key, you can jump to whatever console you want. This is handy because I have 2 PCs and 2 Raspberry Pi's attached and the frequency of use is disproportionate between them. I have to say the front buttons being metal flaps are weird, but I never use them. If you did, you might appreciate a real physical switch. I expect these are mini-PCB switches behind the cool plasma cut metal. I also don't use the shared USB as the mouse/kbd is all I need to switch. 5
