The diffuser expands the strobe's beam angle to 170 x 150°, so it's very useful with wide-angle photography. The strobe's guide number will drop to -1.5 EV with the diffuser attached.

[0.075 lb] I've had superior reliability using this Sea & Sea 2-pin sync cable with a Sea & Sea housing and a Sea & Sea Y sync cable. I've been using this cable for more than a decade, and it has never failed, except when I flooded my housing (twice) and I replaced the cable out of an abundance of caution. I prefer hardwired strobes as I never have to replace flash repeater batteries, or deal with fiber optic cable connectors that don't like to stay put. 5

[0.075 lb] I usually use a longer arm of the same design, and really like it. This arm provides utility in some diving situations because of it's shorter length. There are several nearly, if not exactly, identical arms out there, and this one is less costly, so I rate it even higher. This is not the same as some arms called loc-line arms, and the loc-line arms are not as strong as this one. This arm is easy to use with DIY trays. 5

[0.075 lb] This was purchased as a gift for my boss to use on his boat. He immediately started playing with it, and figured out all of it's functions without the instructions. The lightweight design makes it more comfortable to use that standard binoculars, and leaves a hand free for steering. The shipping was amazingly fast, and well packaged. The instructions have several different languages, which makes it mildly difficult to find your language. 5
