[Dark Army Green] I have now had these gloves for a full Canadian winter. They are fantastically warm. I'm a landscape photographer so I sometimes need to be barehanded. No problem. My hands warm quickly once back inside!The mitts have little magnets built in so you can peel the mitt off when you only want/need the gloves. The magnet keeps the bulky mitt away from what you doing. The cuffs work great to keep the mitts out of the snow. There's little pockets so you can place hand warmers in them if you need to. These have been toasty for me without the aid of warmers. Incredibly well thought out! Who knew you could get excited over mitts??!! I will always have a pair in my closet.

[Dark Army Green] I really like these gloves / mittens. I will say to expect your fingers to get cold when using these in glove mode to operate the camera. When you put your fingers back in the mitten they warm up pretty quickly. I like the way the magnet holds back the mitten to use the gloves. The magnet will stick to anything metal however, car doors, etc. I like the ringlets so that you can take them off and you won't lose them. I like the ability to put a hand warmer heat pack in the mitten as well, haven't used it yet. For Wildlife Photographers this brand is the best IMO, very well thought out.

[Dark Army Green] This is my second pair of Heat Company gloves. I have the lighter weight ones, which are warm enough in most cold situations. Went to Churchill to photograph polar bears. It was bone-chilling cold up there, but these worked out great. When my fingers got too cold, I simply tucked them back in for a bit to warm them up, and I was good to go again. These came with hand warmers, but I didn't need to use those. I highly recommend this company's products.

[Dark Army Green] I purchased these gloves after viewing a video from another photographer. Living in Colorado, we get cold temperatures often. My hands would get cold with the gloves I was using. I tried these gloves on a Milky Way shoot recently and I was very pleased how warm my hands remained! You can use hand warmers with these gloves too. I highly recommend the gloves!

[Dark Army Green] I've used the Heat Company shells twice now on early winter mornings here in Maine. Air temps were in the 20s and my hands felt perfectly comfortable. When I pulled back the covers over my fingers, on which I had liners, I was able to operate the functions on my camera quite easily. The system worked very well for me.

[Dark Army Green] I have had problems finding gloves to keep my hands warm when out shooting in winter. I can keep these gloves on and still have full control of my camera gear. The extra pocket to put hand warmer pads makes them great for severe weather situations.

[Dark Army Green] As a working photographer in Fairbanks Alaska working under extreme cold weather conditions is just another day on the job. Over the years I have tried countless gloves and mittens in search of the perfect set up with little luck until I received my Heat Company 3 smart Mittens/Gloves.
This product exceeded my expectations by far, its not quite cold enough right now for use right now so instead I tested them out for an hour in a cold storage warehouse at -30F.
This is a well thought out design as well as well constructed with durability in mind.
During the test my camera and tripod were set up including the painstaking task of screwing in the remote trigger cable to a Nikon D4s. Went trough shot a few frames and operated all the controls on my cameras without taking these gloves off which is amazing.
Working in sub zero conditions and having to remove your gloves is a game ender after some real time use I will add another review

[Dark Army Green] An incredible amount of thought went into creating these gloves. Expensive, yes. But how much is it worth having hands that work. Hands with the fine touch required to adjust your photo and video equipment. Now you can think about the project at hand (no pun intended) and not how cold your digits are. They come from Germany, so expect a bit of time for delivery.
