The Vanguard VEO 3T 204CBP Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Bluetooth Remotefrom Vanguard VEO 3T 204CBP Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with Bluetooth Remoteis designed as a solution for bloggers, streamers, photographers, and videographers on the go. It provides maximum stability for streaming on social media or capturing wildlife, street, and travel photography. It comes equipped with an innovative and versatile VEO 2 BP-45T Arca-type-compatible ball/pan head with a removable panhandle, making it ideal for photographers who also want options for video. To help get the most from a smartphone, the VEO 3T includes a QS-72T quick release plate that changes from a traditional plate to a smartphone holder, accommodating devices up to 3.33" wide, plus a convenient Bluetooth remote control trigger that is compatible with IOS or Android phones. When in smartphone mode, the QS-72T quick release plate includes a cold shoe mount for an accessory such as a lighting unit or microphone, as well as an additional 1/4"-20 thread hole on the side to add even more accessories.

Strong carbon-fiber legs can reliably support 8.8 pounds, yet fully invert upward to help save packing space. The legs feature twist lock joints for easy cleaning and reassembly, making it possible to remove sand and other debris to prolong the life of the tripod.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is center column made from?

A: I can't tell you that. But I used a nikon d600 with a 70-210 zoom and it held up well. I traveled all over India and to Djeerling near the Himalayas....no problem.

Q: 2. Is the Veo 2 265CB equal to the Veo 265AB but made with Carbon fiber? Does it have the same features?

A: Yes, these are nearly the same tripod minus the carbon fiber.

Q: 3. Can the ball head be replaced with another one or is it fixed to the center column?

A: Yes, the head can be removed.

Q: 4. Can I see it pictures? Thank you

A: Thank you for your question. We are awaiting photos for the Vanguard Carbon Fiber Tripod with VEO BH-160S Ball Head and will update accordingly upon receiving them.

Q: 5. How do I replace the rubber feet on my VEO 3T+234CB to spike feet?

A: They should pull off and or twist off. We do not have this on display to check.

Q: 6. Is the weight measurement wrong?? Only around 100grams difference between carbon fibre and aluminum version??

A: The Carbon Fiber version is 2.63 lbs, and the aluminum version is 3.7 lbs, that is a difference of 485 grams.

Q: 7. Can it handle a 600mm F4 lens?

A: Yes, while the Vanguard VEO 2 can support camera setups up to 17 lb, I would recommend getting a stronger ball head for a better experience.

Q: 8. Does the weight include the legs and ballhead?

A: Yes, the weight of the Vanguard VEO 3 GO 204CB takes in account both the legs and the ballhead.

Q: 9. Does it have a built in level?

A: Yes, the Vanguard VEO 3+ 263CP Carbon Fiber Tripod with VEO 2 PH-38 Pan Head has two bubble levels.

Q: 10. Is it flip lock or twist lock? Thank you

A: The Vanguard Carbon Fiber Tripod with VEO BH-160S Ball Head has twist leg locks that are easy to clean and which can be removed to clean out sand and other debris.

[Yes] It is well manufactured and very well thought out. It is useful for my DSLR, mirrorless and cell phone. The selfie stick works great. All very handy!

[Twist Lock] It's light, tall, and sturdy. I saw the other review complaining about the lack of rigidity, and tried it out. Well, it's very rigid when the center column is retracted, and less so when extended. To be honest, this is expected. You're buying a travel tripod that is light and small and portable. It's not going to compete in terms of rigidity with the big and heavy tripods that you don't wish to haul around while you travel. If you're willing to sacrifice some height and retract the center column to the minimum you'll get a very rigid tripod at a decent height. If you're still not satisfied, you can retract the thinner feet as well for even more rigidity. But if you ever want the extra height and care less about rigidity (aka. you're not doing long exposure), you'll have that option as well. And if you're limited in space, you can easily convert it to a really tall monopod. All in all, it's a really versatile tripod and if you're anywhere below 6'7 it should comfortably reach your eye level.

[4] This is perfect for packing into remote areas and is simple and fast to setup. It is also relatively light and seems very durable so far. This tripod is very well constructed and it shows. You would be hard pressed to find anything better at this price point. I am going to be buying a second one as a backup.

[Twist Lock] Super light and compact, which is exactly what I was looking for. I love the fact that one leg come off and becomes a monopod and the remote is very handy for taking pic and video with my iPhone.

[Carbon Fiber] Extremely compact and lightweight, easily goes with me wherever - as the saying goes the best tool for the job is the one you have with you and I am far more likely to carry this baby over my 8 pound regular tripod. So far I've had no stability issues, and the head seems to hold my kit (6D + ts-e24, 35mm, 24-105) steady where I put it for as long as I need (30+ second exposures), although I haven't encountered strong winds yet. In my home the 100-400 seems stable as well, but since I haven't shot with it in the field yet I don't want to make a definitive comment. The only nit is the lack of bubble level on the legs, but I can't really fault it for that. I was worried about the twist locks, but they work just fine.
