Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How does the spider system accommodate the new Nikon Z9 it is thin as other mirror less cameras but has the weight of a DSLR? I asked Spider rep and he didn't know.

A: The Nikon Z9 by the grip on the bottom and the side is just as thick as a DSLR with similar grip, so I would recommend the Spider for DSLR. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1655133-REG/spider_camera_holster_240_spiderpro_dslr_dual_camera.html

Q: 2. Z6ii with MB-N11 and Sigma 105 1.4Art is my heaviest gear, should I buy DSLR version or Mirrorless version. If DSLR Version, the plate doesn't support Arca Swiss right? I have to attach a plate on top again?

A: Best for the Z6ii and a grip is to use the DSLR version, Spider Camera Holster Spiderpro DSLR Single Camera System v2. And if you want to use this with a Arca-Swiss style clamp need to attach the Arca-Swiss style plate to the camera spider pro.

Q: 3. Will this plate work with Nikon Z6/Z7 with FTN adapter?

A: Yes, Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Plate and Pin v2 will work with the Nikon Z6/Z7 with an FTZ adapter.

Q: 4. Will this work with a Canon Eos R?

A: Thank you, Maria - YES. you will not need to use any adapters - threads onto the neck strap slot. All the very best, Spider Team

Q: 5. Is this belt as comfortable as the Think Tank Pro Speed Belt?

A: Yes this belt would be as comfortable to wear as the Think Tank Pro Speed Belt.

Q: 6. Is this strong enough to support a Nikon D5?

A: No, the following unit is designed more for mirrorless units. Please review the following item that will accommodate your camera body Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Holster Box Set BH #SP211 • MFR #211 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1392300-REG/spider_camera_holster_211_spiderpro_holster_set.html/?ap=y&ap=y&smp=ba_f1_lar&smp=y&lsft=BI%3A6879&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-tiY0_ap_wIVsvPICh0hCgV8EAYYASABEgKQ7_D_BwE

Q: 7. I would like some kind of hand grip to use with the spider holster - sometimes want to carry the camera for a bit before putting back in the holster. Is there a compatible accessory?

A: There is the Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Hand Strap (Black), B&H # SP975, which can fit between the Spider Holster plate and the camera. https://bhpho.to/2YreT4O

Q: 8. Can I attach this holster on the belt "Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Single Camera System BH #SP100 • MFR #100". Is this secured?

A: If you are referring to the original (version 1 -- now discontinued) Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Single Camera System, B&H # SP100, then no, it would not work for your usage needs. The holster included in the 211 Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Holster Box Set will fit on the V2 Spider Belt (the Spider Camera Holster Spiderpro Belt V2, B&H # SP402), but the belt clips on the V2 version are not compatible with the original V1 belt.

Q: 9. Will this work for the Fuji x-t30?

A: Yes, but you might want to also consider the SpiderLight because it comes with a plate that is smaller and won't be too cumbersome on the X-T30.

Q: 10. Would this work with a Leica M10?

A: Yes, 100% unit is designed to accommodate cameras weighing 5 lb or more.

[Black] This takes the stress off most of the rest of your body while supporting your camera. It also allows you to have free movement and both hands free when you need them - awesome!

[1.37 lb] I've been a fan of the Spider Holster system for 3 years. It's not like I've tried every system out there for parking your camera on your hip, but I did my due diligence back then and realized that Spider had designed and engineered a stable, reliable plate and belt. Both are made from solid materials, and the plate holds the tightening wrench in a smart, convenient way.
It may sound silly but this is the one thing is that sold me most on Spider.
The solid plate and convenient wrench.
The new plate design seems to be well thought out.

[Black] This is my 2nd Spiderpro holster and I don't want to be in the field with a camera without one. Birding photography sees me carrying a backpack, camera with long lens, and binoculars, at a minimum. Straps crisscrossing my chest and shoulders all over the place. Spiderpro keeps the camera on the hip, out of the way, always available and always ready. Spiderpro is on my hip an average of 90 days a year in the field, walking and hiking over varied terrain. Never in the 3 years of use have I had any issue with any part of the Spiderpro system. The camera is secure yet comes out the holster quickly without me having to look for it and loose track of the bird in sight and then goes back into the holster without me having to look so I can keep scanning for the next bird. I highly recommend Spiderpro as a unique and improved way of carrying a camera, especially for those working in the field walking and hiking with a camera. Why is this my 2nd? Not because the 1st broke, but because I wanted a backup.

[1.37 lb] I have been a big fan of the Spider Pro system for a while. I have used Spider Pro plates on my smaller cameras like Nikon D750 and D850. However, with my Nikon D5, I found that having the plate on was uncomfortable for hand-holding, so instead I would just use it without. This clamp allows me to use my D5 with a Spider Pro clip when I want, and to remove it for more comfortable hand holding when I don.t It's also nice when you have the spider lens plate on a lens like a 70-200mm 2.8, as you don't need one on the body as well. I am happy to say that this never seems to loosen. I have checked tightness on this several times while using, and it's never budged.

[1.37 lb] This belt is an absolute game changer for carrying a long lens and a wide lens. I’m so stoked that I can go to events and film with two cameras now. The belt is absolutely sturdy as can be and holds the cameras perfectly Absolutely Amazing. If you shoot events and you’re having to change lenses, I recommend you buy this immediately. Great product ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

[Black] I had the first version which was good, but kept moving around. This version ha a better build quality and the rubber under the plate really helps keep the plate in place. The spider system has saved my back.
