Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. does it produce sound?

A: The camera is crank 35mm moving film camera. It does not record sound. If you are referring to the sound the camera might make while recording, it is very minimal.

Q: 2. Can you compare this to Adox CMS 20?

A: Adox CMS 20 II can only de developed with ADOTECH IV and has a an ISO of 20. Film Photography Project Yeti Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 24 Exposures) can be developed with D-96, Standard Black and White Chemistry and has an ISO of 6.

Q: 3. Can you print 3D images on a conventional printer?

A: You can print the images that were taken in any photo lab. Please print them in half-frame since one RETO3D exposure takes up 3 half-frames.

Q: 4. I bought the Lomographic sprocket rocket (hp400) and would like to know if anyone knows how long the developed photo is. I've had a panoramic camera in the past and the developed photo was 12 long. 2. I also have a Nikon N90s which uses 4AA batteries, along with 4 AA's in the flash. Any strong recommendations on type of battery? I'm finding Duracell are weaker and energizer last longer. So, any suggestions?

A: In regard to the Sprocket Rocket: The size of the print just depends on what you request. The image on the negative is about twice the length of a standard 35mm frame. I've printed images from the Sprocket Rocket on 8x10 paper. You can really print them at almost any size.

Q: 5. Can you compare this to Adox CMS 20?

A: Film Photography Project Low ISO Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 24 Exposures) has a very low ISO of 6 and is a blue-sensitive film that incorporates a yellow dye that is removed during processing for increased sharpness; Adox CMS 20 II Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is an orthopanchromatic film with a low ISO of 20, that has a similar sensitivity human eyesight, with increased green sensitivity. Both feature a high degree of detail.

Q: 6. is this a c41 film ?

A: Yes it is. The Film Photography Project Low ISO Color Negative Film (35mm Roll film, 24 Exposures),BH #FIFPP1080, requires C-41 film processing.

Q: 7. If the camera can only shoot 144 frames per roll, does that mean for each 6 seconds (standard 24fps) video, we have to switch a new roll?

A: The film is actually around 4-6 fps max. It's hand cranked so there's no way you get 24fps. A film roll actually gives about 30 seconds of film. Think of it more like an old silent movie type rate. I got an 8 scecond sequence from 22 frames as an example.

Q: 8. The shutter speed is listed as "fixed" What is the shutter speed?

A: Hi--the shutter speed of this camera is 1/120 second.

Q: 9. Is this camera used for making movies?

A: Yes! It uses 35mm film and you can create your own movies with it.

[30mm] I originally bought this D-96 to process XX5222, but have sound that it works well for just about every film I have processed with it. I have had excellent results with Fomapan 200, developed for 7:30 at 68 F, and Svema Foto 100 as well. I intend to experiment with a few other films, time permitting.

I mixed a gallon of this on June 6, 2021, and as often happens, life got in the way and I forgot about it. On Feb 16, 2022, I tested it with a roll of Double x 5222 and it is still working very well, which is pretty amazing to me. I store my working solution in a brown Delta1 gallon jug away from light and at 65-70F.

[30mm] Typically shoot HP5, TriX, Acros, etc so ordered this on a lark... shot mostly high contrast scenes and was impressed with the halation. Not sure how much dynamic range it's getting but the highlight glow is something I am really liking. Ordering more for sure.

[30mm] I got a single roll of this to take to Sweden, and the nature shots I got with this film were unbelievable. I used an older Canon Canonet camera without a flash, so some of the low-light photos came out pretty dark. As long as you shoot with a flash or with good natural light, you'll be fine and end up with gorgeous photos. I would highly recommend this film for its fun, funky, and rich colors.

[Fixed Focus] I love this film and all the line of FPP the greys, blacks and whites and the medium grain give that texture to the pictures very unique. It’s excellent for portraits and landscapes.

[3D] In love with the spooky, contrasted images that I get with this film. It's perfect for daytime photography when shooting shadow & light saturated subjects. Really great film if you wanna capture the darker essence of a scene. Also I like that this roll has 24 ex for some reason- very satisfying to finish a roll.

[Fixed Focus] Some of my films are high in contrast and need some restraint. The most consistent developer for Eastman XX is D-96, and this brand is fine.
