Q: 1. Shooting on a boat, let's say I need to swim from an anchored sailboat to shore, not terribly far, would you feel confident floating the case in the saltwater for the swim?

A: I think it is likely that the Pelican folks would agree that this is risky. I have never tried it; maybe it would be ok. However, fully loaded, your case+contents can be very heavy is unlikely to float. Stripped of the bags and with a light load it would float but chuck full ... i doubt it. The seals are pretty robust though. So, if you have maintained the o-rings, etc, it is likely to be dry inside after exposure to water. If you are just transporting a light load, it may float and there is a reasonable chance that this box will protect your equipment. If you are carting several thousand dollars worth of equipment, though, I would not risk attempting to float the package. However, I cannot think of a better container to protect your equipment from damage were the trip to the water to be accidental. You could, of course, put some weights in the box and see how it works. Be sure to expose it to some waves.

Q: 2. Can the zippered nylon tub be removed? and be replaced by the dividers from the Pelican 1515 Padded Divider Set?Thanks!

A: Yes

Q: 3. Is this description correct? I've never heard of 135mm film, maybe there's a typo?

A: Yes. 135 film is more popularly referred to as 35 mm film.

Q: 4. Can I mix sizes? Half 35mm and half 120? 4-rolls 120 and 4 35mm?

A: Yes, you can use the Kodak Steel 120/135mm Film Case (Blue Lid/Yellow Body) to hold a mixture of 35mm and 120 film.

Q: 5. Will it hold a MAC Pro tower?

A: Hi,I do not have the dimensions of the Mac Pro Tower in mind (it should be easy to check and compare with inner dimensions of the case) but at first glance I would say no. This (wonderful) case is cabin-size and I would guess the tower is similar to a PC desktop tower. In any cases I strongly recommend the case to carry fragile / high-tech gear. As a carry-on luggage, be careful with the weight of the basic model as it is quite heavy (there is a recent lighter version).Hope it helps.Marc

Q: 6. Is this case big enough to hold a Nikon 300mm f4, 105mm macro lens, D7100 body, 1.7x teleconverter, plus a couple of smaller lenses? Thanks!

A: Sure the case is big enough! I normally put inside: 300mm f2.8 - 1 Nikon D5 - 1 Nikon D800 - 16-35mm f4 - SB800 flash - 70-200 f2.8 and a 15 inch mac book Pro.

Q: 7. Does this case come with dividers for storing things in layers? For example, if I wanted to lay down two zoom lenses on top of each other, would they have to be touching each other or is there a divider that could pad them from bumping?

A: No just the way you see it. You would have to protect your lens if you lay them on top of each other

Q: 8. Is the inner plastic holder removable?

A: Yes, the inner plastic holder is removable in the Kodak Steel 120/135mm Film Case (Red Lid/Yellow Body).

Q: 9. How do you adjust the temperature with knob?

A: That is not a knob, it's for the pressure regulator inside the case.

Q: 10. What does the warranty cover and what is the length of it?

A: Its a lifetime warranty

[0.53 lb] I keep my film in my fridge, but the film boxes and rolls were always falling out onto the floor. This has been the perfect solution. Stores easily in the door of my fridge and will prevent my film from falling out. I shoot 120mm film and this fits 8 rolls of 120 which is great!

It's also made of metal so highly durable!

[0.53 lb] This is very cool looking and practical. I use this on trips and its easy to just hand to security to hand check the film and avoid the scanner from affecting the film, Its also very handy to just toss in the bag and go ! I will say it is a little heavy and a tad expensive for a case but it is nice.

[0.53 lb] I really did not need this and don't use it for film. I use it to store small camera items that I don't want getting lost or misplaced.
Excellent!

[0.53 lb] Ended up buying four in different colors for the types of 35mm film I use regularly. Fits nicely in a pocket, has a nice finish and weight Film has to be removed from the plastic canister to fit, something to remember when taking film from cold storage on a humid day.

[5.6 oz / 160 g] Looks cute, holds my film, and feels extra sturdy. I kind of wish the top had a hinge, but instead it just snaps completely off--but not a big deal.

[5.6 oz / 160 g] The other film cases I found were plastic and had reviews of them cracking too easily; they were also not nice looking. I was pleased to find these of steel construction, and they are also very pleasing to look at and hold, which is a bonus! I feel these are a new item since there are no other reviews at the time of my writing this. I sense these will be very popular. You can also mix and match the colors since the lids come off fully. They are made to last a lifetime so the price is worth it. They don't seal closed though, so don't think they'll protect from lots of moister. I was simply looking for a way to keep rolls organized in my bag. They make a 10 roll option too.
