Add extra support for your PL-mount adapter when installed onto your Sony a1 camera with this tactical gray Tilta PL-Mount Lens Adapter for Sony a1 Half Cagefrom Tilta. The compact, lightweight support mounts onto the front of the Tilta Half Cage for Sony a1 and provides support when you are using a PL-mount lens adapter on your camera.

The durable aluminum and stainless steel support provides two 1/4"-20 mounting threads to offer extra stability for your lens adapter when using heavy or long lenses and to keep it steady when using a follow focus motor. Two M4 screws are included to mount the support onto the cage, and two Allen wrenches to secure all the screws.

[PL] This inexpensive support works great. I'm using a Metabones Sony E to PL lens adaptor. This little support holds the whole system in place and does not let the adaptor wiggle at all. Focus feels precise! 5

[PL] This is a great option for my a1, I actually used it with my a7s II while I was waiting for my a1 to come in and it fit great. Better than my other cage. And for the a1, it's perfect for my needs. I can go from a stripped down camera lens option, all they way up to a full built out rig. Plus I can slide this off of the rails for a quick strip down shooting scenario. Great Cage 5

[PL] The other 1/2 cage they sell is great... however, one big problem - it gets lose on almost every shoot. They solved that problem with this one. there is a second securing point that goes through the strap holder eylet. it's amaing. no more worying about it coming lose. 5

[PL] Nice durable cage, quick and easy to install/uninstall on A7SIII. I bought it mainly to shoot vertical on a tripod and gimbal. It's nice to have other attachment points available in the future if needed though. 5

[PL] I am impressed at how they created this cage the 2nd locking screw is simply so smart (ok personally I had a few issues with one screw being a bit tight, but that's a detail) and love also the arca swiss plate system at the bottom that just works perfectly with the dji rs3 finally having a magnetic screwdriver at the bottom is perfect I wonder how I could get excited that much by a cage ;), but it is work well done! Wish all accessories had a designer that dedicated. 5

[PL] for wildlife or night photography where you like to have the camera vertical I have added a plate on side to do that. As tilting a ball head or mounting to a Gimbal head mount may not work. Also solid mount for a small screen if doing video work. 5
