Offered here in black, the 10.5' GVM C320 Turtle Base C-Stand & Grip Arm Kit 10.5' Blackis used for mounting lighting equipment and a variety of light-shaping tools and accessories. Constructed from stainless steel, the stand employs two risers and three sections that fully extend to a height of 126". The turtle base detaches completely from the riser. The base has wide C-type legs with a stable footprint of 27.6" that accommodates easy sandbagging and straddling of obstacles as well as folding flat. The stand has a 5/8" stud for lights or other gear. It comes with a 40" grip arm, as well as a separate grip head that allows the clamped arm to travel anywhere along its length for positioning modifiers such as silks, flags, and scrims.

Q: 8. Can anyone tell me the actual weight of the Matthews 40 riser+turtle base? In the Matthews catalog it says 11 pounds, but lists the riser as 10lbs and base as 5lbs. I just want to know if it is lighter than the comparable avenger model(A2030D), listed as 13.7 pounds.

A: The grip arm would be roughly 5/8" in this C330 Turtle Base C-Stand Kit, but there are no millimeters imprinted on the grip head.

Q: 10. What is the diameter of the main section pole?

A: tHE MAIN TUBE IS 1 1/4 HOWEVER THEIR IS A PIN ON THE BOTTOM WITH A 1 1/2 COLLAR.

[Black] So I own a few C- Stands. Including the OG Matthews brand. I was stoked to see GVM come out with Turtle-Base C Stand & Grip Arm. The weight of this feels good. Really strong and the heads grip tight as well. For the price you can't beat it. I really recommend this over many of the other C stands out there. 5

[Black] Very good quality and durable stand. The black adds a bonus quality versus the chrome colored ones, in my opinion -- not that the chrome ones are bad. I will buy more of these. 5

[52 x 15 x 4"] It is strong and flexible in movement. Easy to install it and easy to take it anywhere . I'm using it with GVM - YU300R led light it is very heavy but with this tripod it is to move it because it is very strong and stable . It is s amazing tripod 5

[3] We bought this to use with our GVM light and this is an excellent fit. Is really heavy duty and can carry the heavy lights that we got of GVM. Would definitely recommend someone buys this and the price is good. 5

[Not Compatible] The C stand is pretty good in quality and it is quite heavy from the look of the product. I guess it provides me a sense of security and prevents my lights from tipping over. 5

[Not Compatible] I just got my new GVM stand and was so impressed I think I'll order another one even though I don't need one. Seriously, this stand is my new favorite stand and I haven't even used it yet. The quality is professional and the price unreal. 5

[Black] The non-slip grip on the stand comes in handy when handling the stand, especially on cold shoots. The stand overall is very durable. Teeth in the grip head add an extra level of security for heavier loads. 5

[24 lb] There great! I own 3 stands from GVM and there my go too for heavy weight lights and rigging. My other C stand are lighter but I don't mind the extra weight for security. I owned different brand c stands and those don't come close to the quality this are. 5
