Q: 1. What is the height without center column extended?

A: The Maximum Height With Center Column Down is 132 cm or 52 inches. With the Center column extended it goes up to 160 cm or 63 inches.

Q: 2. Will it support Nikon d850 and Nikon 500 PF lens? This will be panning for wildlife photography. I need something light to carry.

A: That camera and lens weigh more than 5 lbs together--that monopod would be compatible, but a monopod with a higher load capacity would be recommended.

Q: 3. Will this work for a black magic 4k with rig?

A: Yes, but I would not recommend it, this tripod has a ball head and is not meant for video shooting. A pan tilt head is what should be use for video. Click the link below to view a better choice; https://bhpho.to/3fngugj

Q: 4. Does it mount a standard smart mobile phone?

A: You will need a smartphone adapter to mount/attach a cellphone to the Element MII aluminum tripod. https://bhpho.to/3HW2utt

Q: 5. Can you attach a monopod foot to stabilize the monopod? If so, what thread?

A: You cannot attach a foot to the Manfrotto Element MII Aluminum Monopod (Black). You have to buy the Manfrotto Element MII Video Monopod. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/3k011Io

Q: 6. New setup is Sony A7RIVA with Sony 24-70 f/2.8. Very excited for new camera day. Never bought a tripod before. Would this be sufficient? I know the 28-70 lens is bulky compared to the body. Last thing I want is a tripod that will tip over because it is top heavy? Any experiences with similar setups using this tripod or recommendations for something better suited would be greatly appreciated!

A: Yes, the Manfrotto Element MII Aluminum Tripod with Ball Head (Red) (B&H# MAMKELMII4RD) would be a good tripod and head for your a7RIVA. It would be stable. A good tip is to always push down on your tripod with your hand before putting your camera on it to ensure stability.

Q: 7. How many degrees does this tilt?

A: The Manfrotto Element MII Video Monopod has a front tilt of -90°/+65°.

Q: 8. Can the ballhead be removed? seems to be conflicting information in the comments.

A: Yes, the head can be removed.

Q: 9. Can the center column be horizontal?

A: The center column on the Manfrotto Element MII Aluminum Tripod with Ball Head (Black) does not move horizontal.

Q: 10. The camera mounting screw is much larger than on my dslr. What adapter do I need?

A: The mounting thread on this monopod has a smaller mounting thread inside the larger one. You just have to push down on the edge of the larger one to expose the smaller one on the inside.

[3.38 lb] This monopod packs very small, but extends enough I an use it standing, but I usually use it with a portable tool. Also use a gimble head to make it easy to pan and tilt.

[Twist Lock] Fine engineering of this monopod can be felt when handling it. Light weight but sturdy. Can be hung from your belt. Was used with a Wimberley MH-100 MonoGimbal head. Takes the weight off your hands, Faster than a tripod but both are necessary for your kit. High class look.

[Aluminum] Purchased as a mono pod used it as a cane strong and never gave way. I'm sure it will be a great monopod but for my trip to Albuquerque it was a great cane for after hip surgery
