Wirelessly trigger a camera and take single or continuous shots. This is a simple way to capture images without having to touch the camera. This freedom is useful for photographing wildlife or for macro photography, and for long exposures where it is necessary to eliminate any chance of camera shake.

In addition to wireless triggering, the camera can be triggered manually by pressing the button on the receiver unit

The four second delay function makes it possible to step into the frame when shooting selfies or group portraits. it is also useful in macro photography when trying to eliminate vibrations caused by mirror movement in a DSLR

Use Bulb mode to take long-exposure photos by setting the camera to bulb mode and use the remote to open and close the camera's shutter. This mode is ideal for shooting star-trails and blurring rivers and waterfalls

Sixteen available wireless channels enable setting the transmitter and receiver to operate on individually selectable channels in areas with high digital interference

The two included Remote Shutter Release Cables include a cable with a micro-USB connector plus a cable with a mini-phono connector for compatibility with select FUJIFILM cameras. There is also a 2.5mm female to 3.5mm male adapter for added compatibility. NOTE: Some camera bodies have a remote release connector on the grip side of the body, rather than under the main connection panel cover. A: A long time. I use alkaline batteries and I shoot a lot, maybe 50,000 shots per year with this remote. I know they last at least six months, maybe a year. They are AAA so they are cheap and readily available. That is one of the big pluses. I have used both Canon and Youngnuo and I like Vello much better.

[0.385 lb] It works. I do a lot of long exposure photos requiring bulb. This allows you to just press the button to start and end the exposure. I walked about 100 feet away from the camera, did a two minute exposure, it worked great. 5

[0.385 lb] Well when I bought this product I was already looking at something that I did not plan to use very often. Now that I got it I have started to find some more uses and the results are just great. I am using mine with a Nikon D4 because sometimes my wife and I want to take some pictures of ourselves at different tourist locations and to keep running back and forth setting the camera caused us to limit the number of pictures that we took. Now we can clown it up and just keep shooting and the results are great. Very easy to set up and works well in any location. 5

[0.385 lb] 1.� I was able to immediately have successful remote use of this item with my Canon T1i camera. 2.� I was also able to have successful use of this remote with my new Canon 5D Mark III camera.� This required being able to correctly insert the 3-prong plug into the shutter release slot.� Buyers should be aware the the plug has to be aligned correctly withe the 3 bars on top and bottom and snapped in for a tight fit. 5
