Q: 1. Is this case waterproof? Can you use it in the rain to protect the Shogun Inferno?

A: Waterproof means a device can be immersed in water, i.e. an underwater device. This case is not waterproof. However since it is made out of ballistic Codura nylon, it is water resistant meaning is can withstand light rain for reasonable lengths of time. Heavy rain for hours no. This pro level and what we would use on set. However, if working in the rain, usually we would set up a tent at least.

A: Hello Sam, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, our sun hood for the Shogun cage was specifically designed for the first edition of our Shogun cage. A: Hi,The cable it's self does not provide p48V but when connected to the 7 Atomos monitor recorders you can select the option in the audio menu to turn on the Phantom power.

Q: 7. Will this fit the Shogun Connect?

A: The Atomos Accessory Kit for 7" Shogun 7 Monitor would not be compatible with the Atomos Shogun CONNECT 7" Network-Connected HDR Video Monitor & Recorder 8Kp30/4Kp120. The compatible kit would be the Atomos Universal Accessory Kit for 5 and 7" Monitors/Monitor-Recorders, B&H # ATOMACCKT5.

Q: 8. Does this also fit on the original Shogun? (Not just the Shogun Flame).

A: It does not, this is for the newer Shogun Flame and Ninja Flame Models. We do not have any options for a Sunhood that will go directly on to the older Shogun Model. [0.385 lb] I bought the Atomos XLR breakout cable for use with a Shogun 7 monitor/recorder/switcher. The breakout cable does not come standard with this, nor other compatible Atomos devices. This cable facilitates use of a professional (balanced) audio source at -10 to +4 dB line levels, as well as a balanced, line level output. This signal is automatically synchronized with video recordings from up to four sources (Shogun 7). I normally record using 4-6 microphones, and plan to feed a 2-channel stereo mix to the Shogun. 5

[6 oz / 168 g] I bought this as I’d like to support a none Asian company . This is a very high quality frame not cheap item it is real heavy and a great nice design it gives the 7” monitor a real great look but the most is the protection. Very highly recommended by me a guy who knows what quality is . As I always buy quality items and was born in a country where most of us knows what quality is . Very highly recommended from this great place B&H as I’ve been a customer for many many years very trusted company to buy from . 5

[6 oz / 168 g] I use this breakout cable to connect a mixer board or recorder (e.g., Zoom F8) to a Shogun 7, for professional balanced audio, synchronized with video as it is recorded. 3.5 mm TRS connections are too fragile for professional use, and are generally unbalanced. 5

[0.385 lb] Video always lags real time audio by about 1/15 second. You can often ignore it, or delay the audio to eliminate it altogether. The Shogun 7 records up to 4 cameras plus the switched program video. Injecting the sound at this point minimizes the lag. If you do it in a computer, for example, the video latency is not only much greater, but inconsistent depending on the processor and I/O loading. I record separately and sync in post. With this cable, you can use balanced outputs from the mixer, and all the videos are in sync. Thats less work at the bench. 5

[13.7" / 34.8 cm] At first, I thought I was going to need an XY cable as I was only getting audio on the left side. For whatever reason, when I also arm the channels from the camera for recording the audio from mic in the breakout cable is present on both speakers with me having to make it so in editing. Maybe that's handy for someone. I think the build quality is fine, it works for me. 5
