The Saramonic SR-WS1 Furry Windshield for SmartMic5 Microphonesis a furry windscreen that easily slips right over a Saramonic SmartMic5 series microphone foam windscreen to drastically reduce wind noise when shooting outdoor in high-wind environments.

Thanks to its long-haired exterior, the windscreen offers sonic protection by diffusing and reducing wind-borne sounds up to 40 dB. Elastic fastening bands help keep the windscreen secure during operation.

[1] My first recording with out a microphone was a hot noisy mess. The XM1 cleared that up right away. My only complaint is the lack of a furry wind cover. This purchase alleviated the wind noise completely. 5

[40 dB] If you shoot on a rig with 15mm rods, you can’t do better than this shock mount. There is zero play in the moving parts. Wish I had it from the beginning! 5

[Faux Fur] I actually bought this for the new videomic II. I think that's the model. The rode one wasn't available yet. Just fits. Haven't had it in strong wind, but I am sure it will be better than nothing. :-) 5

[0.04 lb] I was having difficulty trying to deal with the noise of stiff breezes and high wind. This furry windscreen addressed those issues wonderfully! Took it out today (a windy day) and all the interference noise was gone! Fits well on the Saramonic SmartMic and works far better than the foam windsock that came with the microphone. 5
