The Chimera Avenues Urban Series Window Pattern 22"is an ideal way to break up a dull background and add a location look to studio shots. The way the system works, each size frame requires a window holder - basically black fabric with an opening for the pattern appropriate to its size. Pattern holders are available separately or in kits.

Both the 48 x 48" and 42 x 42" frame sizes use the 22 x 22" patterns while the 16 x 16" size patterns are compatible with the 24 x 24" frame only. The lightweight durable patterns fit the frames via touch-fasteners and quickly roll up for transport and storage. Patterns can be doubled up for a unique look and used with a wide variety of color gels.

Q: 1. does this unit put a lot of stress on the glass? I am concerned that the glass may brake if using a big lens ? Thanks.

A: The stress on the glass depends on the camera + lens of choice, and the quality of glass being used.The clamp has a range up to 0.5" thickness for glass, but if using tempered glass try to stay within 3lbs-4lbs to avoid stress on the glass.

Q: 2. Trying to have the same disconnect for both window mount and tripod head. Any idea how to match these up or which head to buy with this one?

A: The Nikon Car Window Mount will feature a pan tripod head built into the mount. Further tripod heads are not required.

A: I think you could. I would consider adding a speed ring.

Q: 4. I have two of the Nikon 7070 car window mounts. Why can't I buy just the mounting plate so I can use multiple cameras ?

A: Nikon does not currently offer the quick release plate for the Nikon Car Window Mount separately at this time and does not have a recommended third party plate.

A: Yes it is.

A: No, that is not compatible. The softbox uses a speedring that slides in to the light. And the Genaray 360 is not the exact same size as a Lite-panel 1x1.The Airbox model 1x1 will work.

Q: 9. This may be a dumb question but... from the photo I see a tilt lock and a window clamp lock. Is there a pan lock and pan capability other than panning the device on the mounting screw? Is the handle for panning movement and is it also a lock?

A: The Nikon car window mount has full range of motion which permits viewing at any angle. There is a clamp lock which secures the mount to the window and there is a tilt lock which locks the tilt in the desired position. There is no need for a pan lock because it won't move position, and you would want the ability to quickly pan to a different position without having to first unlock it.

Q: 10. Can it fit thru a door , I want to bring it inside my house

A: This particular product is the door only. it is part of the larger Stackit system. To construct a complete booth would require the 9 piece Gobo kit along with 4 x 4 booth kit.
