Measuring 8.5 x 11", the Calibrite ColorChecker Classic - Accurate Color Calibration Toolfrom Calibrite ColorChecker Classic - Accurate Color Calibration Toolis a checkerboard array of 24 scientifically prepared colored squares in a wide range of colors. Many of these squares represent natural objects of special interest, such as human skin, foliage, and blue sky. These squares are not only the same color as their counterparts, but also reflect light the same way in all parts of the visible spectrum. Because of this unique feature, the squares will match the colors of natural objects under any illumination and with any color reproduction process.

The ColorChecker provides a totally non-subjective standard of comparison to help determine the true color balance of any color rendition system, and it provides the needed standard for comparing, measuring, and analyzing differences in color reproduction in various processes, thereby avoiding costly mistakes.

A: Yes, the Calibrite ColorChecker Classic Mini would be compatible to create custom ICC camera profiles in the Black Magic DaVinci Resolve software.

A: The Calibrite ColorChecker Classic XL with Case has white patches in the color pattern for obtaining proper white balance but it does not have a larger white card on the other side.

A: Yes, the Calibrite ColorChecker Studio is compatible with Mac M1 and M2 processors, but the Calibrite Profiler software has not yet added support for the Calibrite ColorChecker Studio spectrophotometers. Support for these devices is "Coming Soon" in a future update.

[0.32 lb] Before calibrating my monitor printing was just not working. After calibrating the monitor it was much better but still wasn't quite right. Calibrating the paper for your printer which is what this kit allows you to do is really the best. I know some companies will profile your printer on their paper but with this you can do it yourself and not have to wait for the profile to come back ... this takes very little time, is very easy to use and works brilliantly! 5

[0.32 lb] Great to have in uncontrolled or natural lighting for small macro scenes where you want test exposures with known colors for later adjustments, if needed, to accurately render the scene. The nano checker is about 40x24mm in size overall, so a 1:1 macro image (35mm full frame) can still easily view all of the color patches that actually span 33.8x18.7mm inside the frame. (Store in a dark places for longest stability.) 5

[0.32 lb] This is an important item for setting white balance and aiding the post-production process, especially when matching a multi-camera shoot. I like the large size and orientation of color chips. It's not cheap, but considering the time it saves color/exposure matching in post, it's worth it. For storage, I place this inside a cheap plastic clipboard that has a storage compartment. It fits perfectly, and travels with call sheets, scripts, etc. The only issue I have with this product is remembering to use it for every shoot. That's on me, of course. YMMV 5

[0.32 lb] Really good to have if you care about colors being accurate! Snap a quick photo, follow the instructions in the software which is really easy to use and it has helped my photos look much closer to reality. It is crazy how off certain colors are. I use it with Capture One 22 so it creates a custom Camera Profile to use with editing. It took a little bit to get used to but it is WELL WORTH IT. 5

[0.32 lb] Great tool for maintaining consistancy when color grading mulitple shots from different locations. With all the variables in lighting today its nice to have a chart from which to creat the begining of a base color. I use it for matching multi camera shoots also. Every cinematographer should have one as part of their kit. 5
